I'm pretty sure that if he goes on to have a halfway decent career at Texas a&m even being from Louisiana he'll make out pretty good in Texas. Texas economy dwarfs Louisiana. Probably a smart move on his part.

The only thing I hope for now is for Myles and his receivers to make him look so bad for 1 game a year that he gets knocked down to 2nd team and a draft round or two.

In their heads it’s cool to be racist against him because he didn’t pick LSU. Just ignore the fact that one of the guys most open about wanting to get paid switched from A&M to LSU.
Nothing to see there. He just really loves LSU. Even though he grew up in Texas and his uncle pushed him to LSU. It’s all good. It’s ok for uncle to get the bag and pick LSU, but not ok for momma to get that bag and go somewhere else.

Giving huge windfalls to kids and families who come from shitty areas will wreck more of them than it helps. Surely some will handle it well, but there is a reason the cycle of poverty exists. People who have never had money have absolutely no idea how to handle it. A lot of these kids will become the piggy bank of everyone who has ever met them.
