quote:F'n, Liberal.
This is solely to those poorly educated or have reading comprehension difficulty...lol...the whole point of Plato was summed up in this quote,"There are only two elements in life, contemplation and politics."...the profound meaning of this quote is this...once one leaves the friendly confines of one's mind, you enter into the world of politics,ie, the struggle for power...but as the Buddha said,"When the student is ready, the maestro will appear!"...and I now wonder if any on this board have a clue what he meant..Doubt it!

Go read Plato's Republic and maybe you might get a sense of the full/classical meaning of the word "politics"! But that would be too much trouble, wouldn't it...getting a real education as opposed to the pap offered in most schools today...I dare you!
Personally, I read it three times at 10 year intervals to reflect on what I had learned in the prior 10 years...good luck to all.
So Buggs is gonna study fricking Plato in college? What the hell does this have to do with his possible commitment??

As someone who has a degree in political philosophy and who is also married to a Buddhist, I'd like to politely remind you that being an insufferable douche has been frowned upon since ancient times by philosophers and wise men alike.
As for Isaiah Buggs, I'm in.

I see in this thread some say he should play DT, I can assure you he will be a DE if he decides on LSU. He is big, strong and extremely quick. He was unstoppable on the court and explosive on the football field. He has continued to get stronger during the off-season. His squat is close to 600 and bench is right at 400 and his power cling is incredible. As a fan of Buggs, I am hopeful he comes to LSU and I often tell him Purple and Gold looks good on him.

Couldn't agree more. Buggs is already a grown arse man, and it would not surprise me one bit if he turns out to be one of the best defensive lineman we have ever had at LSU should he decide to play here.
I hope our coaches are talking to him everyday, cause I seriously doubt anybody will utilize his skills any better than Dave Aranda will be able to. Bottom line is we need him to commit, and I hope we can secure it. Buggs is going to surprise everybody who isn't familiar with him with just how good he is.

The reason LSU fell out of his top 10 in the first place was because they were not communicating with him in a proper manner. Pooh Bear is a LSU fan, but you have to feel wanted at whatever university you decide to attend. I have watched that kid grow from a 5'8/5'9 sophomore to a 6'4" 240lb high school senior to a 6'5" 280lb humble man.
You have to commend his mother, because she a great woman who is letting him make his own decision. He will be an asset if he commits to LSU.

I agree with almost everything you've said, he's come a long way. However he was 6'2ish his freshman year, I know, I taught him. Always a men amongst boys, but really coming into his own now that hes not playing basketball all of the time and focused
