Miles will get fired. Mett. is his last chance. Rivers needs 3 years to develop.

Pray for Mettenberger to come here and that his HS/UGA/JUCO coaching is enough to overcome the shite QB coaching he will receive when at LSU.

it should be no problem if the kid decides to come to LSU. he will have a lot of time to study playbooks, get accustomed to Baton Rouge, etc. in fact, he'll have about a year and a half of looking from the end of the bench while Superman continues to run our devestating offense. think he realizes this yet ?

Probably not, knowing our staff.

I think Teddy Bridgewater opened his recruiting up again. I don't think we have much of a shot at him though.

I'd imagine we'd make a play for one of the instate guys if we miss out on him. Zach Oliver (Catholic High - Committed to Northwestern) or Stevie Douglas (Clinton - Committed to Memphis).

Saban is trying to come in late and steal him from us just to keep him away...but it wont work. Metteneberger is all LSU.

the back-up plan is to try to buyout Zach Lee's Dodgers contract.

We have ware and shepp as emergency backups. interesting article on bleacher report today regarding the offensive woes and qb development. I've always felt it was crowtons playcalling and lack of coaching as the major problem, but they suggest that it is all miles fault. they site numerous qb's he's coached and has coached more nfl qb's than any other college coach. check it out. def. a different perspective.

Just my opinion but I don't think JJ would be average or better no matter where he played. Asking the LSU coaches to make a QB out of him is a task I think everyone would fail at.

NO ONE asked them to make a qb out of him, that was their stupid fricking idea!

And to think one of the reasons Darron Thomas decommited from us and went to Oregon is we were recruiting JJ.

If mett signs he won't start next year..he hasn't been in the system long so it doesn't matter if he is much better than jj or jl..and yes..I'm being sarcastic but it's a quite possible scenario

Who's to say he wouldn't suck in this system. Are we to believe both 4-star QBs are really this bad? And that Shep would be a horrible choice?

Mettenberger's top 2 are LSU and Texas A&M. He isn't going to Bama. We are his top choice between us and A&M right now. If he comes to LSU he will start next year. He is 10x better than what we already have. Kid would have been the starter at UGA this year.
