Ika and Shelvan won’t ever be on the field at the same time. They’re a tag team.

He is an overrated lazy dude that has had the luxury of being a man amongst boys up to this point in his life. ZERO drive and work ethic and will never amount to a hill of beans in college. We can only hope that LSU moves on from he and “Rodney” and aggressively pursues others!!!!

He's like Kardell Thomas; he has work to do on his body before he reaches his full potential. They do not know how to eat. Small town, growing up poor. They have no direction nutritiously

Sophser will be fine but Bama won’t have the patience or need to work on him for three years. We need him ASAP. LSU would be in his best interest.

Chris Davenport from Mansfield, La is a great example of what this could be..But we didn't have to take Rodney Davenport to figure that one out. Ish is only
occasionally dominate in 2a to 3a ball but just just never looked elite against even good high school players. Davenport was alot like that... A few good games in a weak district and great size got him two more stars and way more hype than he ever deserved.

He's not able to lean on talent and size there. He's hot and cold at times, but definitely has a lot of work to do when he gets to college. Potential is there, but will depend on how bad he wants to work and develop himself.

So if he needs development, should he be rated a 5 star? I thought 5 stars were rated as immediate impact players.

This is more about winning a LA recruiting battle against Saban than anything else

If he is lazy, then no, we don't get him just to "win" a recruiting battle. Giving a lazy player a scholarship is a loss. Let another team deal with it.
If he is as good as advertised, then you want to win the recruiting battle.
I don't know if the kid is good or not, but O needs to be careful since it will cost 2 scholarships to sign him.

I'm not a fan of the Anthony Johnson comparisons. There's a difference there. Johnson was a beast in HS and maxed out by the time he got to LSU. He was as good as he was gonna be.
Sopsher's all about upside. Much more in vein with Davenport or Woods. Both came from lower class football and the step up was too big and stunted their ranking/production. Davenport just washed out, while Woods found a role situation and has made a nice career out it. We never got to see his full potential at LSU.

Ding, Ding, Ding we have a winner! And this is why Saban isn't going to waste 2 scholarships for one recruit especially when that recruit isn't going to start day one!!!

Not basing it upon that, he’s just trending back to LSU.

So Saban is backing off? Maybe he sees the same things you guys are seeing.

Yes as many people here have said, he's incredibly overrated. He's not worth 2 ships. They should be focusing on getting someone else with those 2. If he wants to come on 1...fine but 2? Give me a break. He's not a Fournette type recruit. Not even in the same league.
