I doubt he is following Silva. I would think he'll find a home in the SEC or ACC.

He's a hard one to really go after, I mean if we secure some absolute awesome pitching maybe take a chance on him, but he has just as high a chance of becoming Cam Johnson this year here as he does pitching significant innings probably so he's a huge wildcard basically.

The walk numbers are just insane, and he will get hit more in the SEC than he did in the Southland conference, so those walks just wont cut it

I agree. One of our biggest issues pitching wise this year (bullpen especially) was too many free passes.

That’s just an insane take

Cam has 16 walks in 9 career innings. Basically 2 walks an inning. Mayers has thrown 150 college innings and the walk numbers are high, but not even remotely close to cam Johnson lmao. Mayers strikeout numbers are way better too
