According to VolNation and Rivals, DAVANTE' BOURQUE, decommits from LSU and is a "solid verbal" to Tennessee today. The more disturbing part of the post of the VolNation Twitter, was the comment about his parents were "unimpressed with Miles." I know that sometimes you just don't mesh with another person. Hope this is not a growing trend.

He/They are just mad that we accepted Hill into the class after we told Bourque we wouldn't recruit another RB.

It's best for both parties. Not a bad trend.

He de-committee because Hill was eligible for a scholly. Nothing wrong with that, but that is the sole reason.

It's pretty well known that Bourque's dad wanted to dictate to Miles how DB's career at LSU was going to go, including him being the only RB taken in this class. Don't read into it too much, if anything it just means Dooley is desperate and will put up with his dad's BS.

They are just made because Jeremy Hill is a better running back sitting at home than Davante is on the field.

Good idea, going to Tennessee, see how well that turns out for Bourque. It is a shame, he seems like a great player, and I don't understand why he was too scared to compete. If he really is good he will get playing time, look at our stable of RBs this year. If he is truly scared, then I doubt he would have amounted to much anyways.

Besides, Tennessee??? Come on... If that's the best he can do then he will be so disappointed in this decision down the line.

Why did Hill not already commit? If we are losing commitments due to expecations of his commitment why does LSU not just give him an ultimatum??

I think he's a silent commit to help him stay under the radar. His legal troubles went away, but that won't stop people from remembering and associating his name. I suspect he'll quietly enroll and only people who follow recruiting will know he's on the team until he gets on the field a year or two down the road.

Admittedly, I am not a recruitnik, and do not know all the stories, just hate to see the players leaving or decommitting a la Boone, Gore, etc.
I guess it is just too soon after the game and I have a bit of panic mode left.

We need players to transfer or we won't have enough room to bring in our full class. Happens every year and will continue to happen.

The roster has to get down to 85 somehow. I'd prefer it be guys who would rather be else were than someone who has worked hard and is just barely scholly level.

I find it even more hilarious that he is going with Tenn with them already having commitments from two rbs.

Have fun in rocky top kid.

They are pissed about the fact another RB is coming in. All we hear is how Miles is great with parents. Nothing to worry about.

From every other recruit or parents speaking of Miles. The main reason we chose LSU was because of Les Miles and how much of a family man and great person he is. Calm down I'm not worried about losing Bourque
