Portal ends Jan 16th. Meaning if Ole Miss loses Jan 8, there’s time, but Nati is Jan 19th. I realize NCAA portal prolongs for CFP teams, but what if we wait until Jan 25th past the norm portal, and Chambliss says no? We’d be shut out of luck because Sorsby will already land on another team because normal portal closed Jan 16th. Meaning you have to take what you know for sure right now. Atrocious scheduling by NCAA. No excuses, be better at life.

Regardless of when Ole Miss loses, we’d still have to wait for NCAA to make their decision on him. Which I’d be surprised if that’s within 2 weeks. So we have to go for Sorsby or someone else. If NCAA takes 1 month to decide on Chambliss, and we wait out, what happens if he stays or does something else to highest bidder.

Is their any situation the timing works out? When will NCAA make final ruling on Chambliss?

Chambliss may decide to enter the draft, whether he's granted another year or not. His draft stock may never be higher.

Chambliss is about to be put into a blender vs Miami.

Surely with all of this money flying around there's a way to pressure the NCAA into making a decision before time has expired

Chambliss has all the momentum to go into the NFL draft.

He he comes back to college and does not have the same success he could lose that momentum.

You get somewhere around 10 days after your last playoff game to enter the portal. You can take your time before signing.

First, you should understand that the portal does not close; only the opportunity to submit your name to the portal.

Second, LSU will sign a QB as soon as they can agree, and if Chambliss is available later and is better, they will grab him as well. Lane has pulled multiple QBs before.ore.

Yeah, I don’t understand how there isn’t a definitive timeline in place for the NCAA to make a decision on this. Assuming Chambliss’ people submitted the request as early as they possibly could, it’s ridiculous that the NCAA can drag out their decision indefinitely.

It’s not the ncaa’s fault he’s trying to get a 6th year that shouldn’t be granted to him

The NCAA is grasping to what little power and influence they still have to remain relevant.

That might be so, but there should still be deadlines in place for the NCAA to make a decision.

It sure feels like it and only dragging out further means we have to get our guy lined up ASAP.

There aren't deadlines. And I'm not sure how strong of a case he has for a 6th year.
