Ok got it. Those 3 teams finished 16,21 and 4th. So only cherry pick players from the top 3. Understood. Will immediately alert the LSU staff that Michigan, Georgia and Alabama players are still ok.

A quick note: if we improve on evaluations such things are simultaneously lesser risk and higher reward.

If our evaluation ability was still below average (it wasn't terrible, but wasn't great either) you would be dead on with your thread title.

IF our evaluations improve there is a reason to be excited. I am assuming they are improved/improving, for now anyway.

Do you ever watch the NFL draft? You realize there are really good players on teams not named Bama, right?

We have Bill Polian's son doing our player evaluations.

He knows more than you, bruh.

Played one P5 team and got blown out by a TERRIBLE 3-6 Big 12 team.

How about you stop bitching and start forking over millions. We will trust the guy being paid 10 million a year that he knows what he’s doing.

Check NFL team rosters. They didn't all come from the top schools.

It has more to do with kids who produced at the college level vs unproven HS talent……star rankings have reliability issues at times.

I understand the secondary and WR room being thin, but there’s no doubt if you turn the talent level to even the best ULL, Cincy, and Arkansas players… we’ll be getting our asses kicked.

Should they just leave the spots open?

Go look at the NFL.

There are elite players everywhere.

Now they can transfer

Those Arkansas players were very good players on a defense that was better than ours. Those ULL guys have offers from multiple SEC teams(the cornerback has a rising mid round NFL draft grade and the OLineman has been re-rated as a four star player.
These are all players that can start and possibly star on good SEC defense

LSU has holes to fill, but you need to get used to the new reality of college sports. Many guys excelling at smaller schools are now going to look and see if they can move up to a bigger school/conference. They now have more tape vs better competition than they did in high school.

We have a total of 32 spots open. We have holes and need depth at all 22 positions.

We’ve filled about 18 of ‘em so far. 14 more to go.

And yes- you take a DB from Arky who has 3 years of playing experience. We need veteran leadership too.
