Is 247 starting to VIP crystal ball picks?

Screw 247. Wanted to cancel, but of course you can't from the website. Called the line and was out on hold for 10 minutes. Finally someone came, told them I wanted to cancel, so they offered me 3 months free.
Well, that was a lie. I got charged a few weeks later. I called and they were adamant that I never called the first time. She put me on hold and actually when through some phone records or something and found my call. Cancelled for good. Screw them.

You used to be able to cancel online no problem. Then they made you call so they could try talk you into staying. I can’t believe I paid for that crap at one time.

I took the easy route and changed my credit card information... They tried to charge and emailed me daily for a few weeks until I got a 3 day notice of my sub getting canceled.

A lot of us have or had 247 accounts because, at one time, it was well worth $12 per month. Not anymore, however. No point paying to read "tidbits" that really say nothing other than the typical recruit speak stuff and offer no insight other than you can piece together from a variety of free sources. From reading what long time members of that site have said, it's not what it used to be so I think it's a fair assessment. Billy's basketball updates are about the only content worth the $12 anymore IMO. As far as football recruiting goes, there's little to nothing worth paying for on there currently.

The last time I got one of those free month memberships, Shea or Sonny emailed me begging me to stay and asking why I was leaving.

The issue is that then all the other local people make the same pick...do I need to know what the VIP pick is if I can see 5 other CBs to the same school for the same guy?

That's what I did. I'm not about to sit on the phone just to cancel some subscription. Can't charge a dead debit card
