Greg Penn did not play for LSU in 2021.
The stats I posted on the previous page indicate he played in 3 games and had 11 tackles in 2021

This was not House’s best game. Achane’s go to move is to head toward the line, then bounce is outside. He’s done it all year, but we really got sucked up in the middle and we’re not getting any containment on the edge. We weren’t the aggressor and let A&M dictate.

The problem was lsu should have sold out to stop the run and make the fr qb beat us...so yes house called his worst game of the yr not to mention a&m schemed lsu to take #40 completely out of the game.

Idk why they didn’t just put Roy, Guillory and Savion Smith in as the 3 down then put BJ Ojulary on one side and Wingo on the other side with Perkins and DBs behind that to clean anything up. 3rd and long you take the heavies out and add more DBs or leave them in and rush Perkins! Keep contain on the QB and make the RB run inside! We beat the crap out of them.

We have to be willing to change the personnel out when things are consistently not going our way. It was obvious that our plan wasn’t working and we needed to add more run defense. It was like watching the Tennessee game all over again and our coaches just watching them out coach us.

He's way too inconsistent to be called good. He makes a good play then he takes terrible angle which is why we get gashed for a 30 yard run. I'm not impressed by Penn. I think ILB is a big need personally. Penn makes me nervous as hell to let him have that spot again next year considering how inconsistent he is. Can he better? Sure but if someone better pops up you go for it.
I agree. There is no way in hell lsu is not getting a linebacker or two out the portal. Greg penn is not the answer. Not nearly physical enough.
I've never seen a dude that big avoid contact like he does.

I do recall the frosh / Moose beating us a few times in critical moments.

What about that Fields kid we got from South Carolina, maybe? Was he eligible to play this year? Is he a potential starter or just a depth guy? Is younger Weeks good enough to play as a freshman?
I think the older Weeks is one to look at for a bigger contribution. He looked to be thinking more than playing to me. CBK said early and many times how they all had to learn to relax and play fast.
A full year in Alignment and a DC that coaches LB's - I like West's chances to break out in 23.

The team played soft. Beating their chest full of themselves. Ive seen that play out in sports a long time. They didn't play hard.
