It seems as though we are going to have a spot available. Is he a yes or no in your mind? I would like to see him at LSU. He seemed to have pretty good numbers against solid competition. Additionally, he moves well in the pocket and can scramble pretty effectively.
He was the backup there last year, but still passed for over 2500 yards (371 against Penn State). In short, in spite of a shitty situation (a backup qb on an undermanned Indiana team) he was still pretty effective.

FWIW, I was pro-Burrow, pro-Mett, and pro-Wilson (he obviously went to Wisconsin instead) in terms of transfers. Miles Brennan needs to be pushed and this guy may do it. If Brennan shits the bed, we need a viable plan B. Lastly, Ramsey has two years of eligibility left IIRC.

TLDR
If we have room I think that we should offer this guy.

Just curious, were you not pro Etling?

And no, we don't need a backup from Indiana. It's either a bonafide starter or Brennan, and we're rolling with Brennan.

I think most of the kids in the portal want a clear shot at being the starter - like Newman that transferred to UGA. It looks like he's already playing a lot but sharing time so I doubt he'd want to compete with a kid who has been in the program for three-years as a back-up.

For experienced depth, yes. It's Brennan's year, but I wouldn't want to go to ANY freshman if he got hurt.

FTR, I think Newman and Costello would have likely beat out Brennan, but that was it as far as it goes for transfer QBs

Brennan is going to be great. Plus we have Peter Parish, TJ Finley and Max Johnson. Not to mention a potential commit from Caleb Williams next year. We have the best QB line up that I can remember.

I think Ramsey is a good option. I just don't think we will be making the decision on a grad transfer right now. Which means I don't think Ramsey will be an option for us.

We will probably wait until after Spring to see if we need to bring in another QB. At that time there will be a new crop of guys available because of whatever news they got after their spring practice.

OR the news that we will be in the hunt after spring practice might make some guys available, if you know what I mean.

We got our guy. Give it up. We need to go grab a OLineman and a LB in portal, not a Qb. We have four on roster.

gonna be the lefty Johnson as Brennans backup...just watch..

Miss St just became viable with Costello transferring in... that kid basically got them 1 or 2 extra wins for next year... prob vs TAMU is one.. calling it now...

This kid is actually pretty good but I don’t think he is any better than Brennan.

He has basically had to fight to keep the starting job while his backup hasn’t clearly performed any better.

Brennan stayed when Burrow was brought in.

I doubt if he stays again, specifically since he graduates in May. If you take a grad transfer now, you likely lose Brennan.

Hell no.

WTF is the problem some of you have with Myles Brennan?

Why is everyone expecting Brennan to be trash? Makes zero since. What message does that send to a dude who has the talent, waited his turn and put in the work? “ Myles, you might suck next year so we’re going to bring a transfer in who might not suck as bad. Thanks for sticking around for nothing though.” Get real.
