In the end, you gotta like Coach Raymond’s chances on closing Surtain Jr.

I’m sure Bama’s pitch was / is strong. But at the end of the day I feel very strong that CCR can close. Do y’all agree or no?

Love Coach Raymond. No reason to start doubting him now. Really hoping he gets a raise next year.

I fail to believe that with one visit all of a sudden Surtain is a Bama lock! How can all of the factors that have had Surtain a heavy Lsu lean just evaporate after one Bama visit?

I’m not buying it !

Was a trick by Saban, a false hope tp hire his father. Surtain should play for the DBU and Dave Aranda.

Agree. If there's something to all the smoke and PS2 has been swayed towards the dark side, there's absolutely no better coach in the nation to bring him back where he belongs than CCR.

Exactly why I haven't been worried about this at all. If Coach Raymond wants a DB, he'll get him. It's proven

It really isn't an easy decision. He can still get as much NFL attention as he wants at Bama and he actually has a chance to win a championship. As good as Raymond is, Bama is still very appetizing for a non- Louisiana resident. If you don't believe that the Bama threat is real, then you are crazy.

Bama Advantages
-Saban
-Championships
-Stability
-Early playing time
-NFL Attention
-Your Head Coach is not Orgeron

LSU Advantages
-Corey Raymond
-NFL Attention
-Early playing time

You forgot about early playing time at LSU. He will have an excellent chance to start opposite Greedy Williams.

Dave Aranda's name should be on the list. Even if we have a proven dolt as HC we have the best DC in CFB.

I think Dave is amazing, but not too many kids base their decisions on assistant coaches over a head coach now days. I would guess that Saban would be an advantage over Aranda. Coordinators move around too much.

Then why did you list Corey? I was just pointing out that the highest paid (?) DC in CFB is a positive factor.

Because of their personal relationship that everyone keeps talking about. Trust me, I want him to choose LSU, but I can't understand the surprise that he is strongly considering Bama.

These are the only advantages you list and you are calling me crazy???

Might want to add Dave Aranda and his family in Louisiana to your list!

You can crawl in the corner and be scared , but he has been a heavy Lsu lean for a long time . We have the same coaches in Aranda and Raymond. We have db’s blowing it up in the NFL and Surtain has strong family connections in Louisiana. Did Bama just start winning titles? Is this new information that Surtain has to decifer now?

Surtain will be a Tiger!
