Taylen Green - On3

QB / 6-5 / 215
Lewisville, Texas
Will be a redshirt junior next season.

Boise State quarterback Taylen Green announced his plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.

After redshirting his freshman season, Green had a breakout year in 2022 earning College Football News Freshman All-America Second Team honors and winning the Mountain West Freshman of the Year award after throwing for 2,042 yards and 14 touchdowns along with 586 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground.

Green split reps at quarterback with freshman Maddox Madsen in the 2023 season posting 1,752 yards in the air, 436 yards on the ground, and 20 total touchdowns. But he ended the year with a bang scoring four total touchdowns and generating 316 total yards of offense in the Broncos’ Mountain West Championship win, earning the Offensive MVP award for the game.

Good find. Sounds like he’d be a redshirt junior though - he is probably looking to start right away.

Disagree, doesn't have the arm talent Jayden had at Arizona State.

Many people forget or overlook the fact that JD was a highly rated QB coming out of high school!

This dude split reps at a Mountain West school. What makes you think he can come in to a major P5 offense and take it over like a boss?

This aint Madden…

Running the ball he looks very similar but my concern would be his size (he's very skinny) and his passing accuracy. Daniels was elite with ball placement and had the rare ability to quickly identify weak spots in the defensive alignment and take advantage of those situations.

He's a very interesting prospect for our offense and something tells me the coaching staff is well aware of him already.

This would be as a depth/back up.

JD was a former 5* in a bad situation.

I'm going to preface this with the obvious: no one right now is JD5, he's special.

However, I think Kaidon Salter from Liberty could grow to be a similar type player.

Now, I realize he currently plays in CUSA so the opposition isn't ideal but he has the legs, he pushes the ball down field, and he rarely throws balls that hurt his team.

2023 Redshirt Sophomore

Passing
60.9%, 2750 yards, 10.3 Y/A, 11.8 AY/A, 31 TDs, 5 INTs, 182.4 Passing Efficiency Rating

Rushing
153 attempts, 1064 yards, 7.0 average, 12 rushing TDs

Here we go with the next poster with no reading comprehension.

“Type” is right there. Just read it.

When someone makes a comparison to a star player, they are talking about style and certain attributes. No one is saying anything about the “next” Jayden Daniels.
