If Parrish is transferring, I’m sure we will sign two QBs

Parrish was not at the first day of spring practice.
If he is transferring, that leaves only 3 scholarship QBs.
I would think that means two QBs in the 2021 class.
Thoughts?

Unless one of the two freshmen is a complete disaster I would say no
One guy per year. It is more likely now that we pick up a mediocre graduate transfer to provide better depth rather than a true freshman backup QB

LSU can’t rely on any of the QB’s not named Brennan in ‘20. If a quality transfer is available you take him.

If Parrish isn't good enough to play QB at LSU then he isn't good enough to play QB anywhere else. Hence, he shouldn't transfer. He should just switch positions instead.
He could play wide receiver or defensive back.
In fact, I could see him being used like Jontre Kirkland is often used, i.e., to emulate a dual-threat QB to get LSU's defense ready to face dual-threat QBs. At least he would be contributing.

Not sure why the anger at my post. This is the recruiting board. Transfers (and potential transfers) have direct impact on recruiting.

It really doesn't make sense. I think it may be a bit early to assume he's transferring, but it's certainly a possibility. Until we hear something more substantial about him entering the portal, it's probably just best to hold off on speculation.

And what if Joe Burrow felt similarly when at Ohio St.? Would it have been better if he moved to safety there or transferred to LSU?

That will just mean someone for the 20 class is going to transfer
No way LSU or any team is going to have a stockpile of talented qbs riding the bench waiting their turn
I won’t shite a qb who wishes to transfer if he doesn’t get the starting job

I think the new ideal will be to take either 1 OR 2 quality guys every year. If two guys you like want in, take them both, just never try to be in a position where you need to reach for a guy.
