I saw the end of Roger Bacon HS football practice today.

My son lives in Cincinnati a block from Roger Bacon. Was walking my granddaughter and went by the football stadium where they were practicing. Coach blew the final whistle and they huddled up around him for a bit, and then broke practice.
I couldn’t tell which kid was Corey Kiner, but I wanted to holler out “Corey my man! Geaux Tigers!!”
But my wife wouldn’t let me.
I’m excited about this kid.

His pedigree is all Deep South / Mississippi. Like an Army brat born in Germany, Burrow couldn’t help that his dad took a coaching job located in a shite area of south Ohio.
But his genetics are far from a Midwesterner.

By that reasoning OSU shouldn't have more kids on the roster from outside their geographical area than inside correct? They should just stop recruiting the southeast, Texas and the west coast. Without those fast, southern boys, you guys would just be Michigan or worse, Cincinnati. On 2nd thought Cincy might be better than Michigan.

What in the world are you talking about.... Joe was born in Ames, Iowa, but lived virtually his whole life in Athens, Ohio, where his father coached under Frank Solich for around 15 years at Ohio University. He is midwest to the core.

that's not at all what i'm saying. go ahead and recruit ohio kids. i'm happy for guys like burrow, spencer ware and corey kiner who go to LSU. i'd much rather Ohio kids go to LSU than Michigan or Alabama.
just don't insult ohio football.
