It will be yet another top player that the Bama gumps have stolen from and dealt another blow to the LSU base. That answer is for you too TigersFan64, Lol.
But I hope Ensminger is really serious about opening up the passing game like he claims he is. They have the talent to do it, I always said that they could and should give Alabama real problems throwing the ball in a real way, as in spreading them out and firing the ball all over the field on them. Out of the backfield to the talented RB's also that can run after the catch like CEH, just really put out a full frontal passing attack on them with quick hitting passing and all.

That's bad. I hate to hear that. Sounds like he's Bama bound. shite.
Impressive melt. It's hard to get this worked up over absolutely zero actual information. Go job by you.
It's possible he's going to Alabama. On the other hand, it's possible he's coming to LSU and the people he'd be letting down are hometown, Miami, people. And it's also possible that he's going to Miami and he'd be letting Raymond and LSU down.
All are equally plausible assumptions that can be manufactured from one sentence in an interview.

If we lose Surtain and Goodrich this class will end with a big fat dud. We've been sold up to this point in filling a lot of needs with the cherry on top to finish out (Chase, Surtain, Goodrich). Without that cherry on top, the class is one of the worst we've had in a long time. Everyone thinks we'll always be great at DB, but if the great DBs stop coming in, well, it'll be a heck of a lot more tough.
Consider the fact we lost 2 good corners off the team this year and currently have 0 commits there, or 0.5 if you want to count Joseph.

Agree, Cb is our biggest need. People can clamor for a qb all they want but we need CBS to play next season. No one left on our board is needed for next year like the CBS. Big slap in the face if they go empty at the position when we had kids beating the door down earlier.(cook, green, mcmicheal, etc). Not a good look for dbu.

Yeah, it will be like someone let the air out of the tire if they don't close with Surtain Jr for this class. Goodrich, I don't think they get, but you have to get Surtain Jr .

Well no shite

92% chance LSU according to Crystal ball 247 predictions currently. I would not call it 50/50.

Terrace marshall was the cherry on top. Surtain and Chase will be some nice lagniappe though. We will be fine.

if nothing else, O was sold to the fans as an ace recruiter. after whiffing on wilson akers and etienne last year, O has to land the big fish this year.

Surtain should be the main course. We have 4 CBs for next year. Williams and Vincent are the only 2 that have shown they can play. Fulton is extremely talented and says he's wants to show what he can do but the fact is he's done nothing but get in the doghouse. Kirklin is a kid no one knows if he can play or not. He was an afterthought as a recruit and I've heard nothing about since he arrived. That's a disaster waiting to happen. Big frick up on the staffs part. Maybe they didn't foresee Toliver and Jackson leaving but its still on them. Surtain may not be the answer either but its another talented kid to help . Major disaster if we miss and we actually need 2. Better hope a couple of those S can play corner

I hope you're right. It just seems to me that since LSU has been the leader for a while right up until his recent visit to Alabama (which from all reports went very well), the feelings he is more concerned about "hurting" are Corey Raymond's. Again, I hope and pray you are right about this, but I have a bad feeling about it. Guess we'll see.

I am cautiously optimistic about the direction the offense will take under Coach Ensminger. I like the sound of what he is saying (regular use of 3 wr sets, RPO's, etc). I just hope they stick to it and that either Brennan or Narcisse turn out to be the star we've long been waiting for at QB (or if not a "star," at least very good). I too have always been a big believer in getting the RB's involved in the passing game (gives the defenses more to think about). I guess we'll see what happens. But again, I am somewhat optimistic about the offense next year. It could be interesting.

Always possible that he's just building up the suspense for his big reveal. This is his moment. Every single one of us that can will now be watching ESPN next Wednesday morning.

It’s not even close to 50/50 this kid is all LSU
Hope you are saying this based on insider knowledge. Shea Dixon's last update that I heard on the radio had it about 60%-40% LSU/Alabama. He said Bama made up a lot of ground on his OV and is pushing hard for him. Fingers crossed, but it sounds like it will be close. If I had to bet money right now, I'd pick LSU, but I'm not as confident as I once was.

Agree 100%. Surtain, Jr. is a must get for LSU.

Does anyone have any clue where surtain is going.. I know there are a few posters who know there shite.

Yes, you could very well be right, and in my more optimistic moments I tend to believe that. I keep hoping that the deciding factors will be his relationship with Coach Raymond and his Louisiana ties, and not the championships that Saban is able to tout to him.
