His dad was on the radio yesterday and said he told his son don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings and go where you want. Is that good or bad for LSU?

He’s been wanting to go to LSU for at least 2 years. I’ll take my chances.

There's definitely an uneasy feeling, but at the same time it makes me feel a little better that no LSU recruiting expert has changed their prediction.

3 star Eddie Smith is getting quite a few CB's to Bama though, and I believe they signed 3 in the early signing period. Could be nothing, but I'll take it as another good sign.

Of course there are uneasy feelings as nothing is guaranteed in recruiting.

If Saban convinces Surtain Jr. To commit to Bama at this point, it only reinforces the fact that he is undoubtedly the best!!
Just hope that he ends up where he belongs, as a TIGER!!

It will be interesting to see how this finishes out, between Saban and Corey Raymond. I’d say its 50/50 at this point because Alabama has gained some momentum, and desperately want him as much as LSU.

It’s not even close to 50/50 this kid is all LSU

I expect Surtain to be at LSU but with recruiting these days, nothing is a sure bet.
We will see soon though

This sucks if he doesnt sign because other prospects have signed with other teams and LSU is left with a open spot that could have been given to another player.

I'm nervous too, I hope lsu gets goodrich. But which one has better instincts, will ps2 be the next patrick peterson coming out of florida?

Goodrich is gone man. The tea leaves read Clemson all over them. PSII is the guy we want and is head and shoulders better than every DB in this class. Think Pat Pete, Jalen Ramsey good.

There is reason to be nervous.
For a player of this caliber the big schools roll out the red carpet and big guns, it's a competition to the end. Bama or not. All the name Bama does is affect the press and our own perception.
With studs like Surtain it is a marathon... so you do have to finish. But you have to maintain throughout. LSU has done both. Better than anyone else.
So while there is a reason to be nervous (built-in to the process) there is also ample reason to be optimistic, and absolutely no reason to assume the worst.
