I'd ask the staff that tried to sign 4 if it was a position of need.

Chase, McMath, and Marshall are gone after next year. There is zero proven depth behind that.

There is a pretty good leap from freshman to sophomore year in production for almost 99% of recruits.... yes we are fine next year but 2021 you are relying on true freshman...it’s not ideal...just isn’t... we will be fine but it hurt loosing both...

Because we lose a ton at the WR position after next year and you don't want to rely on a bunch of true freshmen to have to step in immediately

EXACTLY
and having POTENTIAL SUPERSTARS "One Year" under their belt, MAKES A DIFFERENCE AKA Jamar and Terrace, BOTH NFL GONE Next Year.... Take those 2 guys OUT, and who are Your Starters, your answer is "I don't know" annnnnd EXACTLY!!!!

What was Jeffersons star ranking? How about admitting you don't know how much talent we have and what we are getting but the coaches might.

You found an outlier, way to go you! It was low because no one thought he would qualify, thanks I follow recruiting and am well aware what we have.

You still haven't answered why we tried to sign 4 WRs this year or why your responses are weirdly personal.

ETA: I don't really care about the position, we lost two of the best recruits we had in this class if Burton goes to UGA

Louisiana produces RB's and WR's like crazy. We missed out on two WR's, a DC kid and a GA/CA kid. It's OK. We have bigger needs on the roster. We are loaded for three years at WR.

2021 Chase Marshall McMath
2022 Stingley McMath Palmer Boutte Lee Jenkins
2023 Palmer Boutte Lee Jenkins 4 2022 LA receivers

If there is not a solid player left after this signing period is over, than we have extra spots next year.

Plus, Stingley will play WR and CB next season.

Yep. As I said in another thread Rakim Jarrett and cam Akers there is a Justin Jefferson and Clyde Edwards Helaire. I certainly wouldn’t turn down the highly touted skill guy but it’s certainly a spot where we can swing for the fences and if we miss still leg out a triple with two strikes

Yeah, there's a bunch of highly recruited Louisianaimals at WR. It just makes it more of priority next recruiting class but we're fine next season.

How exactly is an LSU’s fault to lose two receivers when truth be told these entitled receivers want immediate playing time and the other coaches are promising them a starting spot while we have chase and Marshall coming back so they will have to compete to get a starting third spot. It’s obvious they do not want to compete so why would you want them anyway

This would be the same regardless. This is what I’m saying. Yes I wanted both too. But people acting like this is a shitty day bc those two are going elsewhere need to cool it. We have studs on the roster. Is what it is

Next year we have a min of 9 wr's
Marshall
Chase
Lee
Parker
Jenkins
Kirklin
McMath
Moore
Boutte

and Stingly wants to play some WR too!
Thats a 5 star, 5-4stars, 3-3stars and an all world player in Stingley. We are fine.

We also have 2 badass tight ends this cycle which are essentially wide outs in the offense. Hate to lose Jarret and Burton but I never understood taking 6 wideouts out of a 25 man class
