I don't get this fan base in regards to recruiting

Most of you all cry that we aren't locking down Louisiana players and not getting running back commits, but when we do it's not good enough cause they are 3 star players... man whatever. Calm down, most of these guys will be reevaluated soon enough. I swear y'all complain about everything.

THANK YOU!!! New coach um this is a terrific class that is on fire!! Complain about commits not sticking? You get solid guys like this and we have that, say it with me Process, after that all will be 4's or 5's. Trust me this class is awesome and will have a ton of prospects who play as freshman!! Have a good connect at 247 now finally haha anyways why I'm so on this topic! I know from sources most will get the bump soon or eventually. Will be a top 3 class

Sad thing is...they cry about all these 3 stars but when we get out of state 5 stars they cry about oh they wont stay committed. they will flip

If you don't like it then don't read the damn threads. Maybe some of us are tired of seeing Alabama run us off the field every year and realize that we aren't going to beat them with 3 star players. Does that answer your question?

Lsu could sign 25 of the 30 five star players and some tard on here would be complaining that we are signing to much talent. We need role players. It's the rantard way. Miserable arse people.
When some of these current three stars make out to be starters/all conference players, they will act like they weren't previously bitching about that player.
They are never wrong and they know more than people who do this for a living.

Seriously, why would you even care about people who post on a message board and their opinions? These coaches live and breath this stuff and it's their job. I will trust them/their evaluation over anyone elses until they prove they can not be trusted.

I don't care about them or their opinion. However, I try to get information/read about my team and have to deal with some dumb arse bitching. That part isn't enjoyable. No matter what is going on, no matter how good lsu is doing/succeeding there is some dumbass bitching about the coach, the recruits, or whatever.
I can deal with it when it's about a game, play call, etc. There is a point and time when it has merit. However, the constant bitching when there really is no reason to bitch is not enjoyable at all.

Coach O is building a recruiting class of stud football players that will become program cornerstones. Yes, getting 5* players in bulk looks great on paper, but whenever those divas leave you after 3 years and you have no substance waiting in the wings you end up with a LSU team like the ones we had from 2013-2015...keep it up, O!!!

Your post is misinformed nonsense. Nobody cares about locking down a bunch of 3 star in state players but the loonies that think all LSU needs is Louisiana players. Nobody is really hating on the RB commits either. My only problem with the RB commits is that we don't need more than two because next year is extremely loaded. LSU will have Brossette, Fournette, CEH, and at least 2 backs from this class. I'm pretty freaking sure 5 backs is enough.
Even when reevaluating, the best case is maybe 4 of these guys get bumped up to 4 star. Problem with most LSU fans is thinking that we have all the underrated 3 stars. Only a small amount of the 100s of 3 stars will be bumped up as you also have to bump down a few 4 stars in return.
Clemson's championship team had 7 3 star or below players in their starting 22 and 15 total in their 44 2 deep. Even though you're looking at a 31 of the top 44 being 4 star or better, they were the least talented team as a whole on paper that has won a championship since 2010 Auburn. What they both shared in common is a ridiculous do everything QB.

I totally agree with you! Recruiting is important, but it is clearly overrated to a certain degree. Magazines and websites cater to certain schools because it sells. Was Jacob Hester really a two star? Tom Brady was a sixth round draft pick! Trust the coaches and quit whining like little girls!

I'd personally settle for a natty and dominant football plaryplayers,regardless of their ranking per recruiting sites. Give me players who want to knock the snot out of the other team.

It doesn't help with program success longevity if you continue to have 13 or more 3-year players leave each season. Out of a 25-man recruiting class, you need a mix of stud 3-year and very good program (i.e. 4-5 year players) if you want your program to sustain success. Look at what Clemson, Alabama, and Ohio State have done. They're classes contain the right mix so when they're studs leave after the junior year they have mature, seasoned players waiting to fill that void. Coach O is building up the foundation with this year's group, plain and simple, so maybe you are the one that doesn't know what he's talking about.
