From 24/7 - free article on Felipe with highlights.

"he's now worked his way into the No. 1 ranking for dual-threat quarterback prospects in the 2016 class - even getting bumped up to the No. 39 spot in the overall rankings, putting him on the edge of five-star status."

I've said it from the beginning, Franks is THE QB for this school. He's going to be a stud, I'm hoping Brandon Harris comes around fast and lights it up long enough to give Franks a redshirt year.

Why is he a dual threat? Seems to be more of a pocket passer under center guy. More so than Shea who I believe is listed as a pro style.

I've pretty much stopped reading into the dual threat or pro style labels. If a guy is a good QB, he's a good QB.

6'5" 220 and he has the kind of frame that looks like he'd be able to play at 240 if he wanted. He seems like a great kid and comes from a great family. Can't wait to have him on campus

He actually measured in at 6'6" 213, and 10 1/8" hands.

Yes he's still a growing boy. Even with moderate growth at his age, by the fall of 2016 he'll be around 225 or so. His projected arm strength is impressive as well.

The Opening is where Alabama QB commit Barnett went from being like the #3 dual threat QB, to the #2 pro style QB and a 5 star. I see the same thing happening for Franks. He should finish this year as the #2 overall QB which will earn him 5 star status.

My wish

Harris 2015-2017, Franks 2018-2020. How would it feel, to have 6 straight years of good - great - heisman level QB play? Both Harris and Franks have the potential to do just that.

Yeah, and people who watch him live, say he has a cannon already. I've said this before, but Franks is Cam's dream QB. Big, athletic, cannon arm, competitive, great family background, and smart.

People are rightfully so in claiming Eason as the best QB and one of the best QB recruits of the past decade (Matt Stafford is his usual comparison), but Franks has NFL written all over him as well, and he is still developing (and a rapid rate it seems).

Would flip the script on how LSU can't develop QBs and the better QBs would start looking at LSU a lot more seriously imo. I think it will happen also and I can't wait to see it. LSU should still recruit the best QBs for depth at the position though. Never know what might happen? Hopefully after this year coach O and Steel will beef up that front seven as well and we know the secondary, and backfield is well taken care of. Keep recruiting big time WRs and athletic TEs and some big athletic OL and LSU has a bright future. I believe our front seven is talented as any we just seem to forget to recruit someone every other year. Hopefully that's over with. GT
