Let's just worry about getting them in the boat now
A lot of NIL, stability, and a lot of winning (hopefully) can make kids stick around even in today's era

Under Kelly and the end of O's reign, you would be correct.
Lane is here to change that. If you are going to compete consistently with the best programs, you have to be really good with HS recruiting and development.
You might get lucky a couple of times with the portal, but if you build a very good roster with high school recruits and supplement in areas that aren't panning out, you can become Elite year end and year out.
