Security dragged a kicking and screaming LSU56 out of the building. the last words we heard were “YALL ARE GOING TO BE SORRY!!! REMEMBER THE NAME!! KEEEEDDRRROONNNNNN!!!!!” as the doors closed.
Time to switch to the whiskey flask.

Yes. I attended the Bayou Bash three or four times and enjoyed all of them.
Many Tiger fans attended from all over the country.
Those were the good old days.

That post-bash DUI checkpoint on the I-110 on ramp that one year killed the bash

Only the BR police could do such a shity checkpoint to end such a great bash history.
It was downhill with Miles after that.
Need to briny it back with the band and Golden Girls.

Watched film of a FB named Jacob Hester. He looked pretty good for a white kid.

1998 Bash...
Gerry DiNardo takes the stage and busts out an overhead projector with transparencies.
First transparency is blank except for bad clip art of a cow. He says 'we signed a bunch of beef in this class'. Crowd goes wild. Big Ragu slamming beers.
The good old days before spoiled fans and students leaving at halftime.

My wife (now, we were just dating then) use to make BANK working those. She knew someone who ran the food side and they were always needing help and of course they only hired a certain type back then.

the rise and fall of the bash. interesting times back then
There’s been a lot of talk about the college football calendar being reworked this year because coaches HATE the current setup. December is killing then between staff moves, the portal, bowl prep and games, and the majority of recruiting all hitting in such a small window.
Some industry guys think they may just go back to having the one signing day if changes are made. If that’s the case, who knows. Maybe the Bash comes back someday.

I went in 1998 when it was at Casino Rouge. It was a great time.
