This is an important thought to remember. With the portal being what it is, just because they don't immediately sign up with you doesn't mean you'll never see them again.

Well said. If he had more interest in LSU, he would have allowed us to come see him tonight. Instead, UGA got that visit

You are more than welcome to have your beliefs. I hope that I am wrong as well. But following recruiting for decades has thought me many things.

He is an Aggie 100% Think some of it may be $ATM. He believes A&M best fits his needs. A&M will cover and raise any bet on the table to keep him.

Will then use this as a big and glorious victory to appease the Aggie donors and fans.

The A.D. is going to sign Bussey pretty much at all costs.

A&M doesn’t have an AD right now. The most recent left for Ohio State last week. HC Elko has made it a priority #1 to make sure Bussey signs with Aggie

We’d have to logically assume Mr.Slocum is being heavily advised to sign Bussey.

Yes they do, it’s Slocum.

If only there was a topic of Terry Bussey here. Oh yeah, there are at least already 2 other threads and I didn't have to go down far on the board to find them. Talk about an over-discussed topic!

Love how dumb dumbs swoop in to post this, thereby bumping the topic back to the top of the board.

Sam Spiegelman works for On3 has it at 50/50. Not clear where he got that from. Certainly not a direct quote from TB or anything
LINK
TB on LSU

quote:

“They’ve been pushing and they’re still pushing,” Bussey Told On3. “We have a great relationship and I talk to them every day. I talk to multiple people on that staff every day and it’s been great building a relationship with them.”

on Gay&M

quote:

“I’ve been getting to know the new staff. It’s been great building a relationship with Coach Elko, Coach (Artiside), and I’m building relationships with other coaches they already have on staff," Bussey told On3. "They’re great guys, great people, they know a lot about football and they’re great football-minded people.”

Hopefully he makes ths decision on what's best for TB. Not what's best for his host family, HS classmates, cousin, etc.

Come be the next great DB from Louisiana SWAG University with the new all star defensive staff, top 3 2024 class, top 2025 class, all the momentum in the world vs the weirdo cult in east texas where he'll probably be looking to bounce from in a year or 2 anyway.

LSU sets up for an incredible experience for Bussey and a highly profitable professional career. He’s looking at a clear path to starting at multiple positions on a team that’ll be in contention. It’s a no brainer. There’s not enough money they could offer now to change that calculation.

Logically that makes sense. But with NIL and a desperate Aggie last stand push, money may be the final factor in this kid's choice of schools. Getting blanked by LSU would be a major PR disaster.

He's A&M. These visits were nothing more to up the ante on the "benefits" of being an Aggie.
Can yall stop with the money talks for this kid? Really don't see it that way, especially after what Shea said about his home life. Dude lost his mama, sister, and father is not there either. He's never come off as a huge money guy to me and I feel like it has more to do with where he feels like is family to him. Maybe that is 100% TAMU, who knows.

And if I don’t?

Your logic would dictate then that looking at other schools wouldn’t be needed if he was a family guy/family in the area.

You'll continue to sound like a casual.

Look A&M just replaced their whole staff. LSU just replaced their whole defensive staff. The kid is doing his due diligence.

To automatically jump to oohh its all ab money, esp when it doesnt look like its going our way, is simply sour grapes .

Love how morons like yourself think I was going to be the last post on this topic anyway...thus bumping it to the top of the board regardless.

Psst, 9 more posts made on this thread before I even posted this one and after my previous post.

Thanks for the analysis, doc. Send me the bill.

Again you all are making my point. New coaching staff may have given this kid the jitters but Elko is a good coach. Jimbo was a coach that the game passed by. I could see your point IF Georgia was not in the cards as a team he considers. Nothing wrong with the kid bargaining for a few more bucks. A&M lost 3 recruits to their hated rival across the Sabine. Losing out on another one will be a disaster.
