This country is in ruins and you are worried about a man sticking to his faith?
Not what I said. I asked the RECRUITING BOARD whether his statements would impact RECRUITING.
quote:
What does his faith have to do with not putting a statement out?
His "statement" was pretty much only about faith. And that has riled people up.
quote:
You are most definitely a liberal. Tell me Im wrong
You're wrong (not that it matters as to the question I posed)
quote:
So a person is naturally racist because of their skin color. It's kinda weird, seems like you might be the racist one.
You twisted my paraphrase of black criticism of Dabo into this?
quote:
This is the dumbest post in the history of this board.
Oh I have seen way dumber posts than this. The problem is you did not understand my post. Let me try to be more clear:
Dabo was silent for awhile.
Then Dabo made a public statement that was heavy on faith but, according to critics, was light on substance.
Critics in the media and the black community have been pilloring him.
Then an ex-player adds fuel to the fire by accusing Dabo of sweeping a racial incident under the rug.
So my question - the fricking thread title - "How bad did Dabo's comments hurt Clemson?"
Here's what I did not ask:
Do you agree that Dabo's statement was incomplete?
Do you agree that coaches should be required to put out statements?
Do you think Dabo is racist?
quote:
You are as dumb as a rock and your prejudice is being exposed.
Have you ever heard of Dr. Martin Luther King?
I see as many or more African Americans giving credit to God when the make a big play.
Jesus is a Uniter for us all.
Oh. My. God.

If I was a parent I would trust a God fearing says what he thinks coach for my kid much more than a PC spouting bullsh!t artist any day!

Do life is about skin color? Why is that?

Your last link is 100% misleading

It's a known fact that the Union didn't start the war because of slavery.

So, are you siding with the terrorists masquerading as protesters?
And why is there a need to protest? Didn't the perpetrator get arrested for his crime? Isn't there a system of justice and a rule of law in this country that automatically takes care of situations like that one?
I feel bad for the victim, but it's not like the perpetrator will go unpunished for his crime. Hence, why the excuse to protest and to perpetrate widespread terrorism at the same time all around the country?
Indeed, what is the left hoping to accomplish by fomenting racism and widening the gap of racial disparity in this country?
Are they deliberately trying to divide the country along racial lines to intentionally weaken it? What do they hope to gain by it?

Dabo is a quality man and a quality coach. The profession could use more Dabo Sweeney's. This knit picking every person in authority is ridiculous. Take the PC elsewhere.
We are all getting tired of walking on eggshells trying not to offend somebody, some animal, some building or some monument. Cant we just all try to get along and look for the good in people, at least occasionally!
We're going to beat their (expletive) in recruiting. We're going to beat their (expletive) every time they see us. You understand that? Roll Tide what? (Expletive) you."

I totally agree with you. But that doesn't change the question. Clemson is battling LSU for some big time recruits like Korey Foreman, Tristan Leigh and Ga'Quincy McKinstry. Do we think the reaction to Dabo's statement will have any impact on the recruiting?
I think it will.

Maybe slightly. But probably not.
But I dont think Foreman or McKinstry are going to Clemson.
Leigh would be one to watch

Wheres all the Rage for the tribal leaders of Africa that sold their own people like a sack of groceries, for money or gifts? Slavery back then was a business. Even the Native American's had slaves, kings had white slaves. Even in Jesus's time there were slaves everywhere. Slavery was not a skin color thing, it was an income thing. Not much has changed except now people pay low wages so fat cats stay fat. regardless of their gender or race.
Ive lived all over the world and can assure you, if you are an adult and poor you are fricked, no matter what you identify as.Life is not fair and never has been. Ask Ali, Coach O or Burrow. Jesus?
Education minus Drugs = Success or have a needed rare skill set or a rare talent, sing dance play ball, etc, or get educated and stay off drugs and alcohol.

You can't really be serious, can you? Inventing racism out of a person not feeling guilty for NO REASON, and trying to leverage that in LSU's favor?
Dabo didn't benefit from being white anymore than I did. And I have not benefited from it at all. Black people often get jobs to fill quota's, regardless of their qualifications. Does that sound fair? Does it sounds like "white privilege"? Does it maybe sound more like black privilege?
Black people make up the majority of violent crime DESPITE being just 13 percent of the population. Think about that ratio? With that in mind, of course blacks will have more interactions with police. But the amount of black people killed at the hands of police per interaction does not support the narrative of "systemic racism". Not even close. In fact, it is closer to "racism" toward whites, if we want to sit here and split hairs.
So, what it comes down to, is black people have issues with fatherless homes (over 70% of black families are fatherless) and pervasive criminal activity that stems from the lack of stability and discipline, and some of you want to blame WHITE people for that. Black people need to stop listening to liberals telling them the world is against them, stop voting for those people, and go pull themselves up.
White people have families, too. What are we supposed to do? Work with us, or keep feeling sorry for yourselves. We can't help you if you keep voting for Democrats and blaming us for your problems. Stop telling us to listen to you. We've been doing that for decades. You won't listen to reason. And without that, there isn't a discussion, or a solution to anyone's problems. Just assumptions, accusations and continued pointless violence.

Did you Mean to send that reply to me? I just asked the op why he brought up his Christianity.
Hell I think it's dumb as shite to have to send out a statement too. I just didn't understand what the op was getting at.
If you were talking to me, then you are wrong, I'm definitely not a liberal democrat. I'd say im neutral, to be honest, but voted Trump.
I think you just misunderstood my message

They have it relatively easy, compared to old black youth. Imagine the cops are trying to kill you and whitey is holding you back, plus you have a bad back and diabetes.

Seems like when you work in an industry that frankly is mostly built by young black men, you might should have an opinion on this particular subject.
