From my understanding is that the coaching staff did not want to wait till he developed and that they was recruiting other DEs. They liked his camp workouts but has not played this year up to his camp workouts. In short, he was not good enough for LSU.

I don't doubt there are "conditional offers" but honestly believe they are more rumor than fact. haven't seen much solid evidence yet to link these C/O's to many of the recruits claimed to have them.

Thanks. I knew that he screwed up at Okie State with failing a drug test, but I wasn't sure if the LSU coaches already knew he was into that kind of stuff.

A question for the ones that have said that Houston Bates is not LSU material.
What is your opinion on DJ Welter? and do you think he is LSU material?

You know I remember seeing Dexter Pratts myspace page with his mood set as "high" while he was still an LSU commitment, I think I even brought it up here
