I'm hoping this means LSU has some silents, plural, because I don't understand the way they're handling the situation currently.
I was trying to work my way though the possbilites too (with the assumption Hootie did contact LSU).

Kept coming to the point where there had to be 1 big silent with the initials JA for most paths to make sense.

ETA: yah, forgot about Battle. But there's the possibility that Voorhies has indicated he wants to be on D and the Staff are on the same page. That could affect things to a degree (but not enough to say no to any 4 or 5*)

Les has a lot of pride and loyalty to everyone involved with the football staff. He values their work. So the comments made by Hootie's family after his commitment really pissed him off. The staff feels they went above and beyond with him and his family and then they dumped on their visit after he committed. Also they feel really good about where their at with Adams and don't wanna ruffle his feathers.

You don't turn away an instate 5 star. We'll see how it plays out. C'mon LSU.

Well it looks like we are not taking a 5-star in state. He burned the bridge with LSU after those shithead comments he made at his announcement. Good Riddance.

Most people believe he won't be apart of the class at this time. He's gotta learn ur words have consequences. We've been recruiting him for years and for him to turn around and dump on the staff like he and his mother did, it ruffled people the wrong way

Adams first bc that's where the staff made the commitment to now. He is "our guy"

His spot was reserved for Hootie first and when he chose to publicly commit to BAma, he lost his spot

JA has obviously been promised something or I would think you would hear a lot about us and Hootie

It will be very interesting next few weeks to say the least. Going to be a fun ride

Oh and we got Clifton Garrett..: still walking around 2 feet off the ground on that commitment. Great time to be a tiger fan!

Just have to take personal feelings out of it, and trust the staff to do what's best.

Fans. Hootie doesn't seem to be the priority right now at the safety spot, no matter where he comes from.

Obviously Adams is the priority, but they play different positions. That's like saying we shouldn't recruit a DT because it might upset a QB. Totally different skill sets and would not play the same spot at LSU.

Apparently the knock on him from opposing coaches and people that have seen him is that he's not physical and doesn't really like to tackle. He's a physical specimen though.

If that's accurate, texas lock.

I can only speak about when I saw him, which was in the spring game and jamboree, both of which were against West Monroe. I'm assuming he was healthy in both scrimmages. Anyway, he was in on every tackle. All over the field and not arm tackles, but solid licks. Supposedly he was hurt most of the year, as well as against EJ.

seems that way.

to provide some context....
you have Paris and Garrett talking to Adams, and they could be providing some insight to the staff

Adams himself may have made a decision and already informed the staff.

MAY have been some discussion with Voorhies (or Battle) about position <-- ETA: theorizing about the FS vs. SS spots.

and on the other hand Hootie is an in-state decommit who LSU could very much use his services. But the Staff is also seeing him continue to be heavily recruited by Bama, and likely talking to OM.

In this balancing act, to me, it seems logic is in control with maybe a little bit of emotions involved. Not emotions with logic taking a back seat. All depends on what Adams is saying or possibly what Paris/Garrett are saying about Adams.

The only game I've seen him play was against karr as a soph, and ricky wyatt made every tackle, so no one else could.

But I have read that opinion on hootie, so I wanted to use it to take a shot at texas' defense.

What comments? Where is all of this coming from? Is this about Mama Hootie being left alone for a few minutes, or did something else happen? I assumed that several posters that don't normally frequent this board were passing off bogus information, but now it's being passed off as the gospel. Have you heard any of these things?

I never saw these huge statements everyone is talking about that would make LSU not take him. All I saw from Hootie is he was going to choose the program that treated his Mom the best. Not exactly the kind of talk you can't come from back from IMO.
