re: HOOTIE COMMITS TO BAMA - D'haquille Williams Up Next

In the end, these kids will go where they feel most comfortable, and clearly LSU isn't most comfortable to them. Whether it be shady recruiting or not, the fact that LSU has lost so many highly rated players from NE LA in the last 5 years or so that they supposedly wanted tells you a lot about this coaching staff.

Expected but damn disappointing. LSU missing out on the top instate talent should be few and far between. Yet lately, the Crimson midget is routinely pulling our top players (especially in Monroe, AL). shite needs to stop with the quickness.
Les and Co. would be wise to put and end to it by whatever means necessary. If that means taking players we're not overly interested in (Sims) or making in roads with the "dealers". We can't lose 5 star talent over and over to a division foe and expect it won't bite us. We certainly could have used LC this year.

Maybe this has been discussed, but anyone want to take a stab at what this means.

Not saying this will happen and really hope it wont but I am wanting to see the hate for New Orleans if any of the big three LF GW or speedy go elsewhere like they are showing for NELA...
Wow...this won't happen because Frank is on his job...With that said, for a kid to say I can get more from Bama than LSU today is just a lie...we are a top 10 program in the country and have more to offer "after your college/pro days" than ANY other program...

What does Bama do to show it "cares" for NE LA that's different from LSU?

It means that they are trying to justify a decision.

We should definitely go with Young over Garrett, State pride and all. Upchurch over Sims.
shite, you evaluate them and do your best. But the whole rep your state thing is going to be hard to sell.

So, Bama has been recruiting 3-star guys in Monroe? What does Bama do to show it "cares" for NE LA that's different from LSU? I guarantee that if we offered 3-star guys in Monroe it would not help.
No, and it's not just Bama. TCU, Mississippi State, Arkansas, etc seem to be here recruiting more or at least as much as LSU now. There's no doubt that since Bama signed Devall, they have planted their flag here. Alabama coaches are here more than LSU now. They are the sexy team - 3 out of 4 et al. That's what the high school kids see. It's the same as USC before Pete Carroll left.

I hope that all 3 stay home as well. It would have to be all 3 of them going to Bama for the kind of hate to be shown for NOLA that some people have for N La.- maybe even 2 years worth. I've never understood the hate that some people from S. La have seem to have for any part of the world other than their own.
