Bolden was nothing more than a "keep the connection live" add by Saban, especially from West Monroe. He's getting a special teams player and scout teamer basically but more importantly keeping those LA connections alive and well by taking a guy like him. Saban can afford to do things like this.
If Slade wants to really play he'll transfer, he has little chance of ever contributing in a significant way at Bama and he probably started to realize that this year.

Maybe so, maybe not.
He may want to work his arse off and find a spot. Who knows.
It was his decision to make, he made the best decision he could at the time and will live with the results.
The dramatic claim of he will never be welcome back in La, or people that dont hate him now fear Saban are just pathetic.

Watched him at Battle on the boarder last year, made some nice plays but nothing special

Hes been in the state this week and no one from the Monroe area has given him shite to my knowledge. Maybe his close friends rib him a little but people around here were much more upset with Cam Robinson than they are with Slade.

He isn’t a traitor. Kid was always an LSU fan, but Canada just didn’t contact or recruit him hardly at all. That’s the whole reason Bama even became a factor late in his recruitment. Canada blew it

Sure buddy, sure. The kid bitched and complained about not getting recruited hard enough by LSU baseball and then stopped talking about baseball altogether when Alabama offered him.
He wanted to go to Alabama and wanted LSU to look bad in the process. He was probably given a script by Saban and was mentally weak enough to follow it.
