JMU CB D’Angelo Ponds Enters Portal

Freshman All-American CB out of JMU, 2nd team All-Sunbelt. Originally from Hollywood, FL. He’s reportedly heard from 22 schools thus far according to @hayesfawcett3 on IG, LSU not being one of them. Ranked #24 Overall #2 CB behind Muhammad on On3 Portal Rankings.
52 Tackles, 2 INT, 12 PD, 1 FR in 2023.
I didn’t see the Spring Game, so still unsure about the state of the current CB room. Seems to me like this is a guy we should be after… right?

Jordan Brown 6’10” PF entered the portal today from down the road in Lafayette. Dude showed out all year, including in the NCAAT. Averaged 19 pts, already being recruited by the big guys — Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama… will McMahon get in the mix and Woodward throw some bones LINK his way?

2008 Troy vs. LSU. We left in the first half bc my Pops’ blood was boiling.
They did offer him a scholarship. Canada did a terrible job of recruiting him

Houston QB D’Eriq King has decided to redshirt his senior season after 4 games. His dad says he’ll enter the Transfer Portal. Should LSU go after this kid even with only a year of eligibility? Would he fit the offense?

He isn’t a traitor. Kid was always an LSU fan, but Canada just didn’t contact or recruit him hardly at all. That’s the whole reason Bama even became a factor late in his recruitment. Canada blew it

Never been so mad about recruiting than when I was watching the 2014 UA All-American game. I thought Tony Brown was a lock and I’ve hated his guts ever since that curse word came out of his mouth. Speedy Noil made me furious. Gerald Willis’ commitment to UF made me hate him and Landon Collins even more. But landing Jamal Adams after considering him a TAMU lean was big. Fournette made me extremely nervous, but it ended well. In hindsight, the kids we got were the best in that group for sure.

Jay Pleasant is also another one to look out for at Rayville. He dunked all over West Monroe this year. Kid is only a sophomore too
