Les Miles Twitter ain't cutting it.

The rules are there to be exploited, weeks after the rule change Bama added like 10 staffers. I'm not sure who LSU placed in these roles, but I'd be looking at coaches in our prime recruiting areas ASAP.

I agree completely. LSU should up the recruiting budget. LSU has become a national brand. Pull in 15-16 kids a year from Louisiana and pull in some talent from East Texas, Florida( South Florida would be a gold mine, Georgia, Ohio. Need to go out of state to pull in areas that Louisiana does not produce a lot of like linebackers.

We are being handed our asses in Monroe. I don't think that losing a city in our own state has anything to do with recruiting budget, but I do agree that the budget must increase and LSU should have a presence in every major recruiting hot bed.
Eta: makes me sick to my stomach every time an instate kid types or says "RTR." We need to get an undeniable presence up there starting yesterday. Time to get our hands dirty with bama.

I disagree from a tactical standpoint, don't concede Monroe by any stretch, but if you want to launch an all-out assault do it in Mobile.

Agreed. Then he'd have concentrate more on his own turf. However, Auburn and FSU are good now. Bama may start to take hits there sooner rather than later. I wouldn't mind taking a couple out of Ala every year.

I agree the recruitng budget and staff needs to be increased. I feel we should make Raymond the Director of Recruiting Operations under Recruiting Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach Frank Wilson. Rehire our former DB coach from USF to coach the DBs. Hire Doug Williams as TE coach and North LA recruiter Hire Mawea (sp) as OL coach.

Also hire GAs for social media to assist each coach in keeping a high profile in social media with all recruits.

Correct we need to step it up now. Thought 2012 was a wake up call but we are still being outspent by 8 SEC teams.

We got the cash flow just that the football team profit goes back to help fund academics.

We were out worked. I'm not pointing fingers, but you never heard that from someone FW is on.

So, now you are saying it is not about the budget?

Im saying the two are directly related. We should have guys on the payroll that literally do nothing but recruit hotbeds for us year round, on top of everything we do now.

We are outmanned significantly as of now.

I intentionally did not put this in the Adams/Paris thread(s) as not to ruin what is most definitely a positive moment.

If you notice Toliver asks E Paris if that's Raymond in the picture (which it is)...

WTF? one of the most hotly contested and talented CB's (#2 composite NATIONALLY), that committed to us over a year ago (11/4/12) doesn't know what his position coach looks like?!?!

LSU is outmanned significantly yet last year they finished with a great class that targeted all needs. This year LSU has the opportunity to finish with one of the greatest classes ever assembled, pulling top prospects from Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Florida, and Mississippi. It looks to me like LSU is doing an amazing job recruiting outside of Cam Robinson and Hootie. Those too arent going to Alabama based on in house visits. It has a lot more to do with winning 3 out of 4 national chamoionships. LSU just needs to win on the field to keep up the pace in recruiting.

LSU football needs to organize a social media team that kicks everyone else in the arse. Hire a consultant. Do wherever it takes to promote the LSU brand in every recruiting hotbed.

Bama is taking advantage of the rules any way they can. Why isn't LSU?

We have the fortune of having a couple elite LA classes ahead of us... Then what? I agree, we need to exploit this rule and I've thought this from the jump. Yet I never hear about LSU taking advantage...

Obviously the LSU coaches do a good job with recruiting, but why not do it better if you have the resources? Mirror what bama does.

However the 1st part about all the stuff with Joe staffer is going to win the recruit a majority of the time. It's all going to win the parents a majority of the time because they are still new to the process. Look at April Justin with LC and GW3. She has even said Bama didn't live up to everything they told LC and so she is wiser this time and so is GW3. That's why is he is probably going to be a Tiger.

Joe Staffer = Great BSer

This is why I can forgive those who voted for Obama the first time around? But how can anyone with a truly open mind do it the 2nd time? BSers reveal themselves over time. LC & GW3s Mom is way too smart this time IMO. BS gets real old real fast...

At LSU they would be selling the truth, not BS.

Truth > BS
LSU = Truth
Bama = BS

Ultimately the Truth prevails! Amen...

The issue is that Joe Staffer is a code word for Willie Lyles. I'm all for getting highschool coaches from around the country in as camp counselors but I haven't heard much about these rules changes and have a tough time believing that Frank or Les hasn't jumped on any way to use them.
