I don't know why everyone is so concerned about who is going to start and who plays what position. That will all play out during the season. I am positive that CJJ will give everyone a chance to get in the game and will make his decisions on how they perform once they are in. The starting lineup will change many times until we hit the SEC games. That's how you know who the starters are by who is going to start those games. Playing time is different from starting and that will be determined by foul trouble, matchups, fatigue and illness. Just strap your hat on because I think it is going to be much more exciting than when Trent was here!

Discussing and speculating on these kinds of topics are the reason we are here in the first place

I wouldn't expect M. Morgan to start.
I've seen from a couple very reliable sources that he'll be starting...
I know LSU basketball is limited talent wise and I'm limited by not seeing any practice action, but I will be surprised if the Morgan I saw play at the end of last HS season is a starter for us now.

Tom, who will win the game? I think it is the team that scores the most points but not sure.

Basketball is ignored on the rant, but there's a few of us who care here.

This. On the rant there would be plenty of retards posting stuff like "it's football season, why are we talking about basketball" since apparently their attention spans are too short to be able to talk about multiple sports at once and they wouldn't dare support a sport at LSU that isn't nationally successful.

yea this thread would be destroyed by the 'can only focus on 1 sport at a time unless its baseball season and we can still discuss football season' ilk.

It's a shame really. South of South spent time to make a good thread about the upcoming season and it only made 2 pages. Basketball is only 3 weeks away...

I see his minutes being pretty limited this year.
I really can't see anybody's minutes being extremely limited this year. With such a small roster, everyone is going to have to contribute. The only person I can't see playing much is Del Piero. I'm sure he's a great kid, but there's a reason that at 7"2 he was playing in the band. He would get destroyed by most of the SEC bigs.

I agree, especially once we make it to the heart of the schedule and have to deal with some injuries and people getting in foul trouble.

Any word on who the new walk ons are? Saw in an article Jones said 3 would be joining the team as part of an extended try out.

Haven't heard anything, but it's too bad we don't have any other stupid giant band members left.

I also posted it on here because a lot of the 2012 "recruits" will be be getting big minutes. Just wanted a little update from the locals. Dont get any LSU basketball updates in Denver. Great stuff
