Haven is in Michigan again this weekend, I know it’s June and it’s a looong way away. It’s just this guy sure feels like an OOS signee regardless of who it shall be. It will burn my arse if it is Michigan after the BU $$$ deal. I know these kids are eating this shite up as any recruit should. If we don’t get him, surely we’ll be all in on Colton Nuss(who imho has the higher ceiling). I just hope we get one of the two. If Bentley doesn’t sign QB room looking shaky after Nuss departure.
Tennessee has #1 QB commit in town this weekend to help sway #1 WR(LSU commit) Keys to flip. This NIL era has hurt LSU from building a monster with younger players. There’s a lot of players that were headed to LSU to just PLAY football before NIL.
Simmons- Texas
Moore- Oregon
Underwood- Michigan
Stewart- USC All bought away All #1 players 5*s at their position.
I know this is the future, it stills burns my caw! I’ve followed crewtin for over 40yrs - takes a lot of joy out of it from the old $ handshakes and picking up the brown bags in the alley days.

LSU has always gotten some and lost some. We lost Simmons but landed Pickett. We lost Moore but landed Perkins. Plus, the Tigers have a VASTLY improved NIL situation now as opposed to last year.

And frankly, I’m not worried about recruiting freshman QB’s. Sure, you still try to do it but look at college football today. Hardly none of them stay anyway with Nuss being the EXTREME outlier in recent history. LSU is going to be fine as long as they continue to recruit the portal the way they have this last cycle. It’s the new college football, like it or not. I’d bet 70-80% of the QB’s that make the CFP this season will be transfers.

There is 3 minimum quality QBs from a Louisiana in 27. Haven currently has the most potential. That being said don't overspend on one player. The portal has changed the importance of having to absolutely land any one player.

Haven would be great, but if he doesn't work out we will be fine with Houston or Colton. 27' QB won't be an issue for LSU.

You must not keep up with it a lot because haven has fallen outside the top 100 and is now QB 10 in his class according to on3.

The On3 site has him as the #1 QB and #9 overall player. 247 has him #1 QB and #1 overall, but composite #22 overall. Presently I don't think anyone can make a good argument that he isn't at the top of his position. Regardless, there is two other highly rated prospects in state. LSU has been successful in the portal at the QB position. Would love to have him, but wouldn't like to see them overpay to get him.

That class should be a win/win as far as landing a top tier QB. Haven, Nussmeier, Houston, and Zeigler are all composite Top 10 QBs. Hopefully we can land both Nuss and Haven.

I have a feeling we won’t get a qb in state in 27’, I believe Haven is gonna cost to much and Houston will head somewhere else although that’s who I hoped we would get.

I think we will end up with Nuss and that’s it, then the heat will really be turned up on Sloan after this season making Kelly have to find someone else. My hope anyways
