I've only seen bits of pieces of him on highlight films, looks good so far. He plays for Marcus High in Flower Mound. *Edit: Didnt see the previous thread.

I have a buddy that has a Son that is the starting RT, #57, for that team. He says the Kid is the Real Deal. From what I have seen on highlights I think this is a Kid, if an early enrollee, that can compete for playing time as a Tr.Fr.

What intrigues me the most is that he is a coaches kid like Joe was. Even better than Joe's situation Nuss' dad is an offensive coach who should be up to date on the latest and greatest schemes and info. He should have a leg up on most people he will compete with if he as adequate physical goods (and I believe he does).

We had to deal with so many braindead QB's in Miles latter years that it is refreshing to see some thinkers back there.

He will only compete for time if Brennan goes to the NFL early. Then it will be Max and Nussmier

Kid shares a lot of Burrow traits from coach’s son to accuracy/ball placement to pocket poise/mobility to extending plays. He even sounds mature in his interviews.

I got a gut feeling, as a true frosh, he’d pass up Max et al and get time behind Brennan, if Brennan does exceed expectations and bolt after this year.

I have. Dude is legit. I see Brett Favre in him as far as on-field demeanor. When adversity comes, he still fires away. So I understand when people say he has some Burrow in him as well.

This is the #1 reason we dont have more Natty's...

Thinking QB....you can have a Ferrari but if you dont know how to drive it...

Look at Tom Brady/Drew Brees/ P Manning..

I saw the game against Lake Highlands last year and he looked great in that game.

It’s hard to gauge QB’s and how well they will transition to the next level, but he has the tools.

I still would prefer Williams if I could pick between the two, but I won’t complain if he is the guy the staff takes.

His dad isn't just an offensive coach. Doug won the Payton Award at University of Idaho, also my dad's alma mater, as a QB. I'm sure there are many lessons learned from the old man that can't be quantified.

yes, made some wow throws when i watched, but its such a spread offense, scramble , find someone open its hard to tell how good he really is. he rolls out a lot and its not always due to pressure.

He does have talent and a good arm for his size. Love to see him get to 6-1.

Who was the coach? I’ve seen him (I live less than a mile from Marcus High), and kid is legit with not many potential next-level players on the team.
Note: Same school Marcel Brooks played at
