It makes me wonder why these young men either do not get parental guidance when they do foolish things or why they have so little respect if they do get parental guidance.

He will play for LSU when it's all said and done. I played baseball for his coach and he is a very good coach who takes his job seriously and expects his players to do the same. I think this was a very responsible lesson that Todd learned and it shows the team is more important than one individual.

Do I agree? Heck no, but not gonna attack some high school senior over it, nor will it alter my evening.

The people who covered it were probably a little pissed their evening was ruined for this bullshite. Pretty poor decision making.

I guess we can see whose feelings were hurt this afternoon.

Relax Francis it's recruiting. It's entertainment. Let him have some fun. I know it caught my attention for a few minutes.

“It was my idea,” Distefano told SEC Country on Sunday night. “You know, we’re starting off camp, and I just wanted everyone to buy in.”

Absolutely idiotic reasoning.

If he wants everyone to buy in, why does he feel the need to single out one player and set up a faux commitment with media members present.

He could have had his star player address the team personally and even put up a public statement he is focused on his team.. That actually would be a very respectable thing to do.. but to stage a potential commitment on a Sunday.. it's just poor in taste, in my opinion.

Not bent out of shape over it, and I'm not the least bit upset with Harris. Just really seems a bit pathetic on his coaches part.. but no doubt he thought it was a great idea. I already heard from a former player about how great he is.. and how he doesn't care what others think.. Well that last part is obvious.

Still hope he and JaCoby are Tigers!!

I thought it was hilarious! from his perspective, all these schools are coming at him. shows he does not take the recruiting process seriously. good stuff.

That's when a coach or an adult should step in and say this isn't a good idea. But if it's the coach's idea that puts the player in a bad situation.

Sucks for them. Maybe they should look for another job where they don't obsess over high school kids decision. If people are willing to give him publicity why not take advantage of it.

They are high school kids. Teenagers that get worshipped for what they can do on a field or court. The obsession old men have with them and their recruitment is what encourages them to act this way. Blame yourselves for taking the shite so seriously.

So other people are responsible for someone else's actions!!! Sounds like you are a democrat!

Each intelligent person on this planet is responsible for his own actions!!! Harris's high school coach "if he was truly the mastermind behind this juvenile stunt" needs to hold a press conference and apologize to all the reporters that came to that school on their day off and his administration should force him to do that! From all the blow back from this stunt hopefully Harris learns a valuable life lesson.

But the only ones to blame here are the high school coach and Harris! They pulled the stunt it is their responsibility for their own actions and therefore their fault and they take the blame for all the negative press going around regarding this childish prank!!!

Apologize to reporters for what? They got a story, didn't they? This will be talked about more than if he actually committed somewhere. Is his stunt not news? They should be happy about it.
Am I a Democrat? Lol Are you seriously bringing politics into it? No. I'm not associated with any political party. I was a Marine. I believe in killing people to solve problems.

Yall are so worried about reporters' time... Smh

Let's remember that the recruits on this board are high school players FIRST, and this was a good way of reiterating that.
