Brooks left because our scheme changed and Aranda left. Pelini’s Defense didn’t fit his talents. He wasn’t a defensive end or OLB in a 4-3. Pelini should have kept Aranda’s scheme for the first year or two until he got his own recruits to play his style. He knows plenty of football to be able to run Aranda’s defense for the most part. Plus the players knew that defense. Idk jmo

O didn't want to run defense that way another day, which is why DA left. Brooks could have grown into a role similar to Cox or maybe even better.

Eh, we’ll see. If Brooks shows out at TCU I’ll readily admit I’m wrong. Brooks never was willing or able (couldn’t tell you which) to put on the necessary weight to play all 3 downs. Even if he can, will he retain the athleticism that made him so promising in the first place?

Marcel was really liked by his teammates and he loved LSU, he left due to a , chronic, little problem. As Paul Harvey used to say, And now you know the rest of the story.

Marcel definitely seemed popular, I just wasn’t convinced of his 3 down potential on defense. It’s too bad LSU has these outrageously outdated policies.

Blake Ruffino said in his pod cast tonight that he was told today that Harold Perkins will commit to LSU. He didn't say who told him that.

Well, I’m not Blake but I can 2nd that motion. If you guys can remember I think I hinted to watch what the Fab 4 Texas guys do and not say. By the time this very short recruiting period ends, all 4 will have done lil visits to Gods country. By no means saying we getting all 4, but now looking very likely on 2, with chances increased on other 2. Ed pulls this shite off and I better NEVER hear anyone doubt the man, recruiting wise. Now he knows he has flaws in some aspects, but recruiting ain’t one. Just to verify absolutely not saying we are getting all 4 because we fighting ALL the heavyweights just things trending our way on them.

Can you remind me who the fab 4 are from Texas. If you can’t say who they are I understand. If it is common knowledge that would be great. I know the one in this thread and im guessing the DL/DE from Dallas area. Would love the big WR from NE Texas (that guy looks unbelievable).
