Cook weighed 199 at the combine. Verified weight.

so he has 3.5 years to gain 17 pounds.
sounds possible.
he hasn’t played anyone.
But he also plays with no one.
but he is doing what he should be doing against these low end teams.

are you talking about recruiting sites or the coaches?
Because they are both commonly wrong too.
John Emery was the 12th rated player in the nation 2019. He was RB2. Trey Sanders was RB1.
Both of these guys are in their 6 year of college and have not done shite as a college players
Noah Cain was RB7 in that same class.
Thinking there is someone that always gets it right is WILD

I am not saying he can't Sammy. I think he is the best athlete in the state. I just don't think he is the best RB.
projecting him as RB1 nationally is ballsier than anything ive said considering his size and competition level. I love a good outlier but i will never project a player to be something by comparing him to an outlier.

I think it says something about the evolution of the position and how he projects as RB who can run and catch.

That was 2.5 years ago after he worked out for months- probably trying to gain weight
Today on the bills official roster he’s listed at 190

Maybe no players but there's definitely coaching lack of talent makes great coaches look like they aren't doing their job

You sending him to any camps?
No I can’t in the state if South Carolina you can’t play football with prosthetics. He has 2 prosthetic legs.

You do realize it was against McMain right? No coaching and no players!
Yeah that’s the point he never plays anyone worth a shite and probably weighs 175lbs soaking wet.
I just don’t see it with this kid. He has bust written all over him

Level of competition doesn’t mean anything

I don’t know why this board has to hash this out every month or so.
He is an undersized RB playing against questionable competition, which is undeniably true by the way. He is also an electric athlete who has looked good in camps/7v7s who you are ecstatic to have on the team and see where he lands. Both of these things can be true. Why do we need to get buried in the details? Does it matter if he is rated the #1 RB or the #1 Athlete?

It’s interesting to talk about if you don’t take it personally.
The only reason I made a list is because I think they are all good. I just happen to find Berry to be a polarizing prospect at RB

Not to mention you can gain 10 pounds overnight just from eating a lot of carbs and sodium lmao

For what it’s worth, I agree with you. A lot of history to say you should have concerns about an undersized RB, and people listing exceptions to the rule doesn’t make it less of a reality. But he is definitely worth rolling the dice on.

And just to be clear, I don’t think that they shouldn’t recruit him lol. He is the best athlete in the state, I don’t think it’s a dice roll.
There’s a lot of expectations that come with being RB1 & I don’t think he is that.
