You serious, Clark?

I actually asked the same question on another thread. Not that I expected an EE to play but was wondering if, technically, they would be eligible. As best I have been able to determine, although Freshman Orientation for international students begins on the morning of the 9th, the first official day of class is not until the 17th. So I think from a technical standpoint the answer is no (maybe unless you are an incoming international student!)...

I wonder if we could get Jake Heaps in to start the game. I hear he's Mormon.

If LSU somehow got Keil, they would be scary lethal on offense in 2-3 years.

We will be scary next year.

What qb would want to play for Kelly after this year? That dude is ridiculous. Blows up at you multiple times on the sidelines... id be like "dont blame me douche, ive only thrown one pick, our defense is the one that cant stop anybody."

I'm not disputing that Kelly is a douche, but the purple-faced rant early in the year was at a WR. I don't think he went off that much on his young QBs. And their defense hasn't been the problem (their defense was ranked 28th in the country), it's been the turnovers on offense. I think they lead the country in turnovers.

Does anyone know if hes related to the QB Blair Keil who played for ND and as a backup for the Colts years back? If so, Gunner comes from a great football family.

Thats what I figured. I grew up a few blocks away from Blair so I knew he couldnt be Gunner's father. Lets hope Blair isnt pushing him to ND too hard.

Hadn't read the whole thread, so this may have been mentioned, but can you imagine the difference in the babe factor between LSU and ND?

That ALONE would make my decision.

That may be a violation of his parole! ( Blair was apparently arrested in '09 for battery - perhaps that makes for a good LSU pedigree?!)

Never knew about that

Cant say I'm surprised though. I never knew him well, but from what I remember he was kind of an arrogant prick.

Yeah, his uncle's ties to ND are one of the main reasons people think he winds up there.

I find it interesting that when he was interviewed back in April about learning his position, he mentions his dad and brothers, but not his uncle.

" My dad and my two brothers have basically been my QB coaches"

Sure reminds me a lot of the Manning family.
