Zachary advances after beating undefeated Destrahan. With the No1. QB about to commit to LSU, this has the makings of another Heisman performance by an LSU quarterback with all the offensive talent in this class.

True, but my family and I were at the game to watch Zachary in the playoffs with Green, LSU's commit. And I got to talk to Steve Ensminger on the Zachary sidelines. Was a great night! Steve looked good, looked younger than his coaching days at LSU.

Why is Green eligible in football but not in basketball. Is this more stupid heavy handed action by the LHSAA?

It’s really a head scratcher. His first love is basketball. When the ruling came down the kid was devastated. LHSAA is a terrible organization.

I have watched Green a lot this year. He is the best pass catcher I have ever seen in high school. Once he gets into LSU S&C program he is going to be a beast. Freak athlete with a wingspan like a 747. His catch radius is elite along with his hands.

It’s something to do with he played on an AAU team when he was younger that was coached by Zachary’s head basketball coach

Don’t know how many tackles he had, but they put a lot of pressure on Zachary’s quarterback and sacked him, and were tough against the run early on. Zachary eventually wore that defense down.

As the game went on yes, but early not as well. It was still anyone's game at halftime. Zachary kept doing what worked, wish they had done that versus Catholic.
