Want to see what the hype is about, I’ve heard he’s leaning towards bama but with our depth at WR I don’t think it’s an issue...

Put Kole Taylor at TE. Kid is very good. Then move Arik Gilbert to Marshall’s spot. We can also run 2 TE.

Prepare to be underwhelmed unless something different than rest of season happens. Malachi 2.

I honestly think the kids passion is basketball. He’s able to dominate most opponents in high school based on shear athletic ability. I’ll be interested to see how he adjusts to college where everyone is as talented as him.

Watching on tv
Thomas is very raw not nearly as polished as bech
The walker high qb is awful not anywhere close to walker Howard throwing to him to help him

I’d love to run some 12 personnel next year if Kole Taylor is ready to play.

Is this where we come to say the guy we all wanted but looks like he’s going somewhere else was never that good?

Last night, he had 7 rec for 85 yards and a 48-yard KO return.

Walker is 1-7 according to the article but the LHSAA has them 1-6

Look he’s going to be better in college but will need a year to adjust like terrace Marshall did even though he was coming off injury

His route running needs a lot of work
He needs to get in a college weight room
All things he will get at next level
The walker qb didn’t help him either and their style of offense really doesn’t feature him they ran the ball a lot

This situation will be like Devante Smith. Everyone will say he isn't great and that LSU isn't missing out on anything and then in two or three years he'll be one of the best receivers in the country.

Look, will we miss? yes prob. so, but it's not like the staff don't want him, everything we hear is that he wants to go to Bama, his choice!
It is what it is, and im over it already, and very excited for our WR class we have so far

I mean, it’s possible that he is very good but not a “can’t miss” prospect, right?

Uhhh, people said smith was one of the best route runners to ever come out of La. literally every camp he went to he was unstoppable. He was just built like a bean pole

I don't remember what others said, but I know I was pissed and melted a bit when he went to Bama because he was legit that good. In the end it didn't matter though as LSU was still loaded.

With Thomas, although he looks the part physically, he isn't enough to make me pissed if he goes to Bama, especially because of the group of WRs we have in this class and the ones we already have here.

This and we have bigger needs and goals for the class than being held hostage waiting around for another wr that doesn't seem to want to be here(according to many). At a point you move on and fill the class. The staff gets reamed for waiting and missing when there's no backup plan so why shouldn't they proceed as if he isn't gonna be here?(not that they are but some of us are)

Agree with this, plus there is something to be said for legacy guys from LA that would give their right arm to wear P&G (referring to Bech).

Gotta have at least a handful of these types in every class IMO. Seems to me these type of guys end up being some of the best leaders on the most successful teams in recent past.

Finally, I think the writing was on the wall with BTJ. It’s been obvious that position was filling up and that offers were being extended to other guys at WR. If he didn’t hop on board knowing that, The dude must not be all that interested

Excellent comparison, even though you spelled his name wrong. What was actually said about Devonta Smith, and what is being said about Thomas, is that he was a good ball player, but we had talented guys, too, and not enough room to take them all. This turned out to be spot on. When we played Bama last year Devonta Smith, as good as he was, would have been our third or fourth best receiver. Marshall and Smith are a toss up, imo. Jefferson was probably better, and Chase was far better.

He’s not playing basketball this year so he’s chosen football over basketball. Or someone chose it for him. Regardless, his basketball career is over.
