LSU isn’t getting both so those of you thinking that need to let it go.

I’d prefer Williams but if Nuss wants to commit you can’t tell him no. That would come back and bite the staff in the arse if Williams ultimately decides to go elsewhere.

He's mad at UGA not because they were taking 1 qb but because they said they wouldn't take another qb before he committed. Same thing weve told him.

If we allow Nuss to commit before Williams then either we are taking a bird in hand, Williams has told us we are out or we like Nuss more. Personally think if Williams isn't committed by the time Nuss does, we don't take Nuss.

His tape looks a lot like Brennans. I hope we get him.

Modern NFL is about QBs who are mobile. Don't have to be a burner but being able to move around is important. Same in NCAA. Show me a QB in the playoffs the past few years in NCAA where the QB was a statue?

I love Nuss’ game and a bird in the hand....

Hopefully CW isn’t afraid of comp and decides to come as well but it would be fantastic to get Nuss on board

Why doesn’t he have a great offer list?

I just watched his Highlights for the first time and I am shocked he’s only rated the 11th best pro prospect. Kid has a cannon, looks accurate, and poised in the pocket. He also moves well, avoiding the rush, while keeping his eyes downfield. It’s hard to imagine there are 11 better.

That would really concern me. If we miss out on CW after not accepting Nuss, then we could be left with nobody. Also, I remember when we turned down Mason Rudolph and waited around for Brandon Harris.

You can look at last recruiting cycle if you want an example of missing out on recruits while waiting for another. How many RBs did LSU miss out on waiting for Evans? Thankfully it worked out and we got Bradford but it could have burned us bad.

great offer list

Not comparing Nuss to Joe BUT, his offer list is as good or better than Burrow's was and he's rated slightly higher as well.

Williams doesn't commit before Nuss, you take Nuss's commitment.

If Williams is in, you still take Nuss if he wants in too.

This. We MUST get an elite QB this class. Accept any top QB commits in the order they come. The rest with sort itself out by ESD.

If you have 2 good players you take the guy that wants in and likely stays committed.

I'd love for Williams to commit, but I'm tired of us getting burned. Nuss would sit and develop at least 1-2 years so he will be bigger and stronger by the time he's ready to compete for starter and there's a benefit to getting a coach's kid who has been properly groomed for the position.

We likely have Brennan for his remaining 2 years and either TJ or Max take over unless our 2021 commit makes a big leap or even a 2022 phenom commit signs.

Ummm 2/30 does not mean the NFL loves duel threats.
Are you nuts?!?! I only listed two QBs in the running for MVP.

But, hey, if you want more:

Cam Newton - Dual Threat

Dak Prescott - Dual Threat

Deshaun Watson - Dual Threat

Kyler Murray - Dual Threat

quote:

It's not really even debatable that the NFL prefers pocket passers. It is not that they prefer pocket passers, its that passing is the thing they need to be best at and typically that is the pocket passers.

Okay. Who are the Top Three QBs projected to be taken in the draft?

Joe Burrow - Dual Threat

Tua Tagovailoa - Dual Threat

Justin Herbert - Dual Threat

Clearly, the NFL prefers pocket passers. It's not debatable. The NFL has no interest in Dual Threat QBs. You know, except for the Top Three QBs.

quote:

If you think Burrow will be a Dual Threat in the NFL you are a moron.

First, I expect Burrow to be a threat running the ball in the NFL.
Second, you've missed the point entirely.

quote:

That is like calling Aaron Rogers a Duel Threat. Mobile but not Duel Threat.
Uhhh . . . strawman much? I didn't call Aaron Rodgers a Dual Threat. He is not a Dual Threat, and has never been one.

Aaron Rodgers - Pro Style

Ohh you def take nuss.
If cw wants to play around and not commit, then he was never coming here.
We need a qb who wants to come here and wants to be the lead recruiter for his class

We aren’t.

He wants to go play in the EA Sports league (Big12) where every QB puts up stupid numbers because they play against air.

We just had a QB put up the best numbers of all time against SEC West defenses.

I'm getting the feeling he is scared to compete.

It seems like nuss is going to commit to lsu on 4-8 And cw knows.
Nuss s film looks really good.
Does anyone have the film of him at the lsu camp last year.

If i remember right, his high school film was much better
