I know Chicken & Co. like TD to be different as far as leniency...but this board should be different and any bashing should be dealt with quickly

Social media (even this board) is an integral part of young people's lives. Unfortunately, the Rantards & fake LSU posers get away with the negative stuff and some impact is unavoidable. Best we can do is to intelligently counter and to show respect for recruits and hope they are smart enough to realize the we represent the overwhelming majority.

Seriously, this board has gotten to the point where its becoming detrimental to the recruiting process. I have been on alot of boards orangeblood, tidefans, wearesc and none of them even come close to some of the shite you "fans" say. It's ridiculous and it has definitely effected our recruiting this year and if you respond that a recruit should get over it, or it happens everywhere than you have the IQ of an onion.

What needs to happen is LSU fans should see all the wonderful things outside of our own great State. Loving LSU shouldn't mean you have to just hate everything else.
Recruits are exposed more and more to other programs and areas, they go to all star games, they go to 7 on 7 tourneys, they go to camps, they go to all kinds of things that are requiring travel. Not to mention social media.
Going from home gets less scary and more exciting the more you are exposed. Doesn't mean you dislike LA. Support our local grown kids, if we do a good job with what is on board we will compete year in and year out. If you cant handle the kids going elsewhere, quit following the recruiting drama, it is too much for you.

Why don't we police the RB by responding to these types of posts when we see them? Also, if you run down existing players, why would a recruit not believe you would do the same to them? Anyway, GB said his comments weren't specific to Tigerdroppings itself. Everyone just needs to be respectful with their comments on the RB. It's not like this wasn't pinned already.

I see this accusation posted a lot, but have rarely seen it actually occur.... Let's face it our fans are more guilty of "slandering" than a tribe of bama trolls. I don't agree with either but the above accusation is brought up way to often and does not occur as often as some make it sound. Every fan base has the drama queens, and we are no different. Another thing I think needs to end is the "he's considering _____? What the frick is he thinking?" I'm not saying we have to speak well about Bama and other schools, but choose a level of discourse that doesn't insinuate that the recruit is a fool or idiot for considering that school. I think when we do that, we indirectly are insulting the recruit's intelligence or judgement.
I think all that needs to be said is what we know LSU offers the kid and leave it at that. All of the "doesn't he know they suck" doesn't help our cause.
Of course they're Tigerbait if they sign elsewhere. But enough of the insinuation that these guys don't know what they're doing, it doesn't help us.
