I think is funny how some on the rant have been saying this, but credibility to this statement is only given when players say it.

Brumfield is only stating what any individual with just a bit of class should already know. Good for him and again......shame on anyone that belittles or disses an 18 year old and his choices.

Older folks with class should rise above what they claim as classless...or in their reasoning a player g, choosing another school.

And people think how corny and weird it is the way tidefans is run for bama football.

It's run that way for this exact reason, call it ridiculous all you want, but it works. Say anything negative about the coaching staff, recruits etc and you can't post there and it gets deleted. While extreme, it does work. You don't ever hear a bad peep about bama coaching or recruiting mostly for this reason.

I am not saying we should turn into tidefans, but the latitude some people are given on here is way over the top. You shouldn't be able to even post on this board without a post count of at least 500. AND only LSU fans.

Slander = "False accusations".

I wonder what he feels has been said that are false statements about certain "men".

I apologize if I am guilty for talking about Noil, Brown and Willis, but by all accounts, what I shared has been confirmed by multiple sources on paid for intel.

So if any of these statements are incorrect, then the sources have been misled or have intentionally lied to us to save face over losing these players.

the bottom line is, big time players are essentially "Public figures"...it's best they get used to being misquoted and misrepresented.

LSU fans are fanatics about their football.

We want the best players to want to play for LSU.. If you leave the State for the likes of another SEC West or East team, do you really think the fans are going to be "Happy" about it?

too many recruits are playing games with journalist, fans and coaches...so expect backlash..

A man acts like a man..so if respect is the issue, then I think it goes both ways Mr. Brumfield... BTW,I am excited you're going to be a Tiger!

My 2 cents

Agree, and not saying you are, but I don't like when people automatically assume everyone on here and on Twitter that interacts with recruits or talks about recruits are all over the age of 30. I am almost 30, but I talk to high school students daily about recruiting. Many follow it just as much or more than posters on here, and high school students are more active on Twitter and message boards than any age group.

Garrett, don't let one person get into your head. You need to have tougher skin, be bulletproof. I don't know what the slander is that you are referring to, but if it's bad enough for you to tweet about then it was probably a post made by someone posing as an LSU fan. It is not hard to do this. It takes 10 seconds to change you avatar and another ten to post something to another team's board.

Really excited to have you at LSU. I hope you become an Economics major like Eric Reid, ball out for LSU, get your degree, and then ball out in the NFL.

I feel this board is pretty calm compared to twitter and other boards. GB point sounds more like a generalization.

ETA: Garrett, you're a great kid and ambassador for our program. LSU is lucky to have you buddy. Stay above the social media and do your thing.

As far as that kind of stuff goes, I could do without it personally. Whether or not it's been confirmed, it doesn't really do anyone any good and just makes the fanbase look petty.

He's not particularly calling out the RB, there are other LSU based forums that write negativity about Miles and the players. Happens at every major sports school

This could be part of the problem. If it was your kid who had five star talent and get microphones in his face ALL Year, how is he the one who is taking advantage of it? Then he decides he really wants to play for say.....ATM...and maybe part of hHe reason is that his father keeps telling him that LSU is the only option he has. ARE you going to say the same things to him? He's your son and has a mind of his own. Let him be a man and decide for himself.....again, imagine if it were your son....or you.

Would The things said on this board make you think twice about our fanbase?

Remember that the vocal minority is louder than the quiet majority.

Actually I was happy with how quickly a poster who was being very rude in regard to commit DC was deleted and booted within about 10 minutes! I requested Admin help and I know at least one other poster did as well and within a few minutes the NEGA was gone as well as all his posts. Hope that continues and hope all the good Tiger fans and posters will not hesitate to request help immediately and have those types removed!
Hang with us Garrett,,, most of us have total respect for recruits and especially commits!!

I agree, but I view twitter as an individual thing as opposed to tdings which is a meeting place of individual LSU fans.

Think of this as gun control. The majority of us are law abiding and level headed, but one idiot comes out and says something really stupid...or worse, does something stupid, we all get labeled as right wing, religious and violent zealots when one guy f- ed up.

Gun Legislation gets tighter and prices go up due to the minority's actions. Lose, lose scenario.

Admins could and should delete these " few " that spew insults to any recruit, regardless of where he goes or if he lied.

If one is tempted to say something about a recruit, wait a moment and realize that he has something that YOU want, not the other way around, A recruiting zealot that thinks LSU IS THE ONLY INSTATE OPTION, should rethink their priorities.

I've been around for 10 years.. I have a posting record which I can sleep peacefully at night with a clear conscious.

I am passionate...but I've called out my share of negative posters over the years and to watch their tone about players we're recruiting.

I have acknowledged things I have said in the last couple of weeks. They are just retreated comments that have originated from reliable sources on 247.

they aren't too happy about being lied to..I can tell you that much.

So for me, if a kid lies to our staff about their intentions, I would say to my own son, "that's the wrong way to handle your business son"

So my point is, slander is one thing, misinformation is another...and truth isn't always a welcoming light

How long have we been asking for a Moderator for this Board?

I actually suggested recently on another thread that we:

a.) Form a new official RAT team with admin privs to monitor the board 24/7

b.) Anyone slamming a recruit gets banned immediately

We have had far too many Rantards on this board and, as others have mentioned, trolls from Bama and other schools

BTW: I support keeping the negative crap (out) that is posted endlessly on this site about Miles, the program, certain players, etc...to be put in the dumpster and sent home for good.
