I've heard that J Jones has Scott Boras as an advisor/agent. That tells me he wants to sign, but this might hurt his stock because of his now lack of signability.

Nobody knows where Jacoby Jones is going to go. He is definently not a first round talent right now and hiring Boras out of High School would all but put more pressure on MLB teams to give him an increased signing bonus.

It works both ways for LSU, it tells them "Hey I've got the best agent in baseball and want to sign but if you don't give me X amount no matter what I'm going to LSU."

Rosado hit two more against Byrd. His has 17 for the season. Younger Chu-kee'-nee brother hit one out also. Barbe plays Fountainbleu HS today.

LSU-E will probably have more kids drafted this year than LSU.

Then at the WM tournament a couple of weeks ago he hit a BOMB. Looked like it might have landed on the football field. No joke. Had to have been 475+

He crushed one for a grand slam. 1-2 count check swing called safe. Next pitch was in the parking lot.

Rosado now has the Barbe High School single season HR record. He has 19 bombs through 18 games. Wow!!

WOW, he must have some good hitters behind him, since they keep pitching to him.

Yea usually Barbe puts their best hitter first the next second and so on. They are only halfway through the season and he's broken the school record. Does anyone know the state record because I'm sure he had a good chance to break it. I am 99% sure that he will sign with the team that drafts him

I really don't know what the record is, but a kid from West Ouachita hit 26 or 28 a couple of years ago, and I haven't heard anything else about him. Is he projected to be drafted in the first 15 rounds?

I'm not sure where he is projected but he seems to think he's going to get well over half a million signing bonus and that's enough in his mind to leave. I think he should be a top 15 pick because he can play catcher or first. He's also not a power hitter that has to pull everything and that is a big positive.

What kind of year is Jacoby Jones having? Would love to have all three of these guys in this class.

Blurb from Baseball America dated 3/18.....

After a football-related arm injury over the winter and with Scott Boras as his adviser, Jones could be a tough pry from Louisiana State.

"I anticipate him going to LSU," an American League area scout said. "I don't think someone's going to jump up and throw a bunch of money at him, and that might be the best place for him right now."

Hommy only had 4 homeruns last year because his season was shortened due to a wrist injury. He had surgery on it by the same guy that did Garins knee.

All signs point to him signing with whoever picks him. Kids that sign with JUCO schools and transferable schools tend to look for the earliest draft opening.

You can sign with a juco then later sign with a d1 school I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think some of powell's temmates were going to do that
