Starters/Rotation Guys (not going to project who starts, but these guys will play)

I guess hilton does technically have more eligibility but I kinda can't imagine him sticking around past this year for a 5th year. He'll blow up the combine whenever he decides to come out, so as long as he's pretty good this year it will probably be in his best interest to go get his money. As long as he gets full starter's reps this year I can't see him falling past day 2 of the draft. Only way I see him coming back is if he really doesn't do much this year - in which case it's not a huge deal for him to come back anyway.

ETA: lol why would someone downvote this?

So we paid a bunch of NIL money to get CJ Daniels, and he’s not even good enough to be in the starting lineup? Is there some inside info on why he’s not starting?

Yikes, just yikes man

i had them penciled in as staying simply because i don't see either one of them being a 1/2nd round pick and they had eligibility remaining. all depends how they play this year

that top 6 is almost interchangeable to me - they'll all get reps

Trying to make any kind of depth chart beyond this year in this era of football is a waste of time

I think he was always recruited with the intent to convert He never looked like an LSU level receiver in profile and when Hankton worked him out. I think Frank and Kelly saw a ATH/CB and knew Steeples would likely be gone

At this point my guy, you might as well just type all this shite out, read it to yourself, and then delete that shite because nobody is going to give a frick about your opinion or what you have to say you fricking jackass

Probably just special teams and might get reps at WR in blowout games.

He is behind alot of people like Hilton, Lacey, Daniels, Anderson, Parker, Thomas, and Sampson. Not including what freshman WRs that just made it that might move up.

Brian Kelly during interviews talked about Jelani Watkins as a surprise player.

Expect him to play quite a bit.

I don't know about playing alot part just because he talked about him. He just got to campus a month ago we have heard Coach say good things about Spears, Reilford, McKinley, Woodland, and a few more.

Who is he taking reps from at WR? I think Coach Kelly just gave him high praise and see alot of promise in him.

It's a total waste of time trying to predict a WR room. There will be multiple guys that will hit the portal and there will be a few guys we will take from the portal.

Zavion will be a huge contributing Wr.

I'm not understanding the Zavion hype (especially over CJ Daniels)... Thomas didnt play much in 2022 and he had average production in 2023.

I could be wrong, but I've got a feeling Daniels ends up as WR1 statistically by the end of the season. I'll believe Lacy can offer the consistency of a true WR1 when I see it.

If we're talking opinions, I think Lacy will have a Nabers type of season in 2024. He really came on about midway thru last season, and no one has worked harder at becoming a better WR1 this offseason than Lacy, which says a lot because Hilton has also worked like a madman this offseason.

Lacy and Hilton will match the production of Thomas and Nabers last year, thats my hot take.

If we lose both of Sampson and Parker, we'll go after a transfer IMO.
_____________

We will add a good portal receiver next year regardless. Will have a solid WR room, but not as loaded as recent years. Will add 1 or 2 strong portal guys for sure.

Ms st had 2,000 yards passing for the season and he had 500 of them

He had more catches than Lacy last year

Just say you don’t watch football outside of lsu
