Fertitta is a clown. Dude also closed his replies because he knows he would get absolutely roasted on that tweet.

The Florida schools have all attempted, and at times succeeding, establishing a footprint in New Orleans/LA. Currently it's a trend because people don't fear LSU in the state anymore. It's not exclusive to the FL schools.
And it's not on Kelly. He's made the state the priority and has been successful in raw numbers. We always will be. Problem is schools aren't afraid to try anymore and kids aren't loyal to LSU. They've got the entire world in their pocket and now the ability to earn. We will win out more than we lose but losing a few guys we covet will become more and more prevalent.

What he and his staff did was pretty minor but the fact that he hightailed it out of town to avoid repercussions was shitty. Guy is a douche. Good high school football coach though.

I like how their Louisiana graphic has guys that aren't even from Louisiana on it.

I wouldn't even say that. In the past we seemed to lose 2-3 LA guys to Bama every year but now with NIL those kids are just spread out among other schools.

Well. what did he and his staff do?
The punishment was not minor. Catholic had to give up a state championship or two.

If you look at their roster too, the LA guys haven't made much of an impact other than Keon Coleman. And there's not a single 2024 recruit from LA, so Fertitta can shove it

Ja’Khi Douglas - No Stats
Keon Coleman - 256 yds + 6 TDs
Destyn Hill - 1 catch, 18 yds
Greedy Vance Jr. - 9 tackles
CJ Campbell Jr. - 3 carries, 20 yds
Byron Turner Jr. - 5 tackles
Bless Harris - No Stats

What is Andre Otto's (#65) connection to Louisiana? According to their roster, he is from Key West.

Kinda surprised we haven't passed any legislation like Missouri where HS kids can be paid now if they commit to an in-state school.

No reason to not get on that train if it's possible.

A few assistants went to middle school football games in coaching polos. The LHSAA didn't even establish that contact was made with any kids or their parents.

I think the LHSAA just wanted to send a message.

He tried to turn in another school while committing the same infraction. A former assistant of his then spilled the beans to the investigator and he got caught. Wasn't the brightest decision or he thought he was above the rules.
