Hell, until the coaching fiasco plays out, a get like Franks is a waste anyway.

Note the timing. Weeks ago. Fla QB suspension, Treon looks bad. Brandon Harris was "cruising" along. Franks was probably thinking he's not going to sit behind BH for 2 years.

Then came Bama, Ark and OM. Now it looks like Cam (his chief recruiter and reason for coming) is gone no matter what.

If LM somehow stays, then what? Or if Jimbo comes and brings his guy, then what?

Dont be so hard on the kid. He did his due diligence, and right now he feels UF is a better fit for him, and he's probably right.

Stop all the committment talk. Its like buying a house, an agreement is not closing. You want that out if something comes up.

Great coaches close on committments and steal others. This is on the LSU staff.

Russell Shepard did all the things that y'all are skewering FF for. He stuck with his committment. He recruited hard for LSU. And how did it work out for him?

Hey, as a fan I wanted him here badly. But we're still 2.5 months from signing day. Go steal someone from somewhere else to make up for FF.

I don't blame Franks at all. In fact, I expect more decommitments.

Yes we have some real shitheads tht post here.
That being said, any recruit tht uses that as an excuse for leaving is just weak minded and pathetic.

I'm certainly not happy that Franks decommitted, however, at least he didn't blame the coaching situation as the reason. He could have done that and no one would have questioned it.

It could be worse, he could have pulled a signing day switch and given us no time to find a replacement. At least we still have a few months to possibly sway someone.

If Franks was my son I'd sit him down and say, "say son, let's rethink this LSU thing. Their offense is out of date and I want you to have a chance to develop."

Pretty sure he's made an NFL roster every year since he left so I'd say he's doing pretty good.

This thread was the nuclear melt I’d thought it would be. The timing was in the middle of Miles being in limbo. A few posters angry he had left.

I, for one, am NOT angry he chose Florida. I can see why Miles wanted him so much over Shea Patterson. Franks is a 100% prototypical Les Miles QB.
