Bauer sharp isn't really a blocking Tight end either. Green looks like he can actually block.

You have to have someone who can block at tight end for this offense to run correctly.

Kelly/Sloan mostly run 3 wide so a tight end is always on the field.

Agree - that’s why I don’t think green is the answer. Would love to see some clips from anybody with his hand in the dirt getting after it. I’ll gladly take an L if somebody can show some clips of that because I just haven’t seen it

Several people in this thread are just using Green. Need at least a first initial to know if you're writing about Tre'Dez Green or Donovan Green.

If you can’t figure that out by what’s being said or who is responding to who, life must be really hard for you.

aTm signed 2 of the top 4 High school TE's in 2022. Jake Johnson and D. Green. Green was the 4 leading receiver his true freshman season. His numbers were close to Mason Taylor's.
Kelly likes to run 14 personnel, one back and 4 TE's.
In Kelly's offense he wants TE's. Many NFL teams like the usage of the TE position.

Good point. For me I’m talking about Tre’dez not being a viable TE option. Was responding to somebody mentioning his play making them forget about mason Taylor.

I think the kid has a special skill set but what the offense needs as an every down TE isn’t offered by Tre’dez.

Sounds like he's gonna pop soon. Look get all the playmakers we can but we still don't have a true in-line blocking TE. Unless the plan is to convert a Bordelon, for example.. or the staff feels really good ab LaFluer.

Also might want to hire a TE coach as well

I thought T Green blocked well in the bowl game. I haven't rewatched our bowl game yet, but will. I will pay attention to Green's blocking when I do. Personally, I think we are fine at TE, but always welcome talented players. I can see the need more if we plan to redshift the LaFleur kid.

Trey'Dez had a very good game all the way around. You can teach blocking. Go back and look at a number of former LSU WR's, Bowe, Buster Davis, Michael Clayton, there is a list of names that were noticed by the NFL scouts, helping with the drafting. The guy that got Joseph Addai drafted, Peyton Manning. He looked at film from three RB's. After, he told the Colts staff, all RB's were similar, but to him, Addai stood out, he never let his QB get hit. He blocked better than anyone he had seen at the position.
Mason Taylor wasn't great at blocking, got better each season.
