I’m beyond ready to see a return to the days when LSU defenses were feared.

We’re certainly going to have the athletes available next year to make that leap.

I’m ready for relentless, havoc-causing D-Lines, ball-hawking secondaries, and LB’s that hit so hard they separated soul from flesh.

Given all the rule changes benefitting the offense, and now the portal, those days of powerful, feared defenses are gone. The key now is to get up field pressure on the offense/QB and force quick throws and bad reads and turnovers. Explosive power, speed, and team discipline is today’s defense.

Regardless of comparisons, can Payton be an All-SEC level performer? I think the answer is yes so that’s all that matters.

Kid has to be motivated in his last year to build his stock for the draft, and People’s showed this year he can get production as Swinsons game elevated without question. You wouldn’t say Swinson is more talented than Payton. This is a great addition, bottom line
