O got lazy, hired old dudes who do not relate, team is very meh (unlike Clemson, Alabama, OSU), and the negative recruiting begins!

Quote below from Foreman. It was in the OP of the other Foreman post on the front page. He doesn’t seem to agree.

"LSU, everybody on the staff and everyone, they want to be greater than what they are right now. They're in a little bad time period right now, but that's ok. They're on the up and coming, and I trust the coaching staff, I trust the process, and I trust everybody they have on defense right now. Elias, Jacobian, Roy, along with all the other players I've met in the process, man, they got a lot of people up there that's willing to get to the next level. How do I not want to be a part of that..."

Tyrann Mathieu was great rushing off the edge. So what? He played a different position than Keke Mingo, who was also good off the edge. Foreman and Ojulari play different positions just as Mathieu and Mingo did. Having Ojulari on the team doesn't help fill the need at a completely different position.

What position do you think Ojulari plays?

Weak side defensive end, Foreman is a Strong side defensive end, his point is correct that they are two different positions.

Do our ends swap sides based on the formation? No they don't so at various points in the game, both our ends will play both strong side and weakside end. You can call them whatever you want, they play the same position.

If this was a betting scenario, it would be LSU +500, Clemson -1,000. This visit was a game changer and credit to Clemson's staff for making it happen and keeping their class # where it is to land these top notch guys at the end of their class. Nobody was talking about them with Leigh or Foreman but they're in position to land them both next month. Winning matters. Winning year after year matters even more. Clemson and OSU have the easiest paths to the CFB playoffs and that isn't going to change anytime soon. Recruiting is a competition and some schools can sell things we can't.

What's your source for such pessimism? You also said we have zero chance with DDJ.

I dont have any sources other than my close friends that are huge UGA and Clemson fans. One is pretty tight with a guy named Tyler who's dad is the president of the University and Tyler works with the football team. His dad got him the job not too long ago. They used to all party together and since have remained friends. They follow their teams harder than I could ever follow LSU simply because of my job compared to theirs. I have tons of connections with UGA from living in Athens for so long. But like with any recruit, all we are really doing is assuming because these are kids and they change their minds like the wind changes direction. Right now, the wind is blowing hard to the east for KF. Anything can happen from now until then and I always hope Coach O lands every recruits we go after. GEAUX TIGERS!

Corners and safeties also play the same position then, because they may move around based on formation. I hope the LBs we signed don’t make sage Ryan and Derrick Davis change their mind since the both may cover and have to tackle based on formation.

Corners are all the same. Nickel is different than outside CB if you want to argue that. Safeties, not so much cu their responsibilities are different. Free safeties play over the top while SS plays in the box. Sure they may sometimes get switched but their responsibilities and skill sets are different.

Ends have the same responsibilities regardless of side or formation. They set the edge and rush the passer. Sure you put your better pass rusher on the QBs blind side but their jobs are exactly the same.

Both are edge rushers. We need as many good ones as we can get.

I said it two weeks ago and 247 bumped both Saivion Jones and Keanu Koht up, but these dudes probably still are a little under-ranked.

Saivion is 6’5, 245 and ran a 4.58 forty. Has the frame to add 10-15 pounds of muscle with ease. State champion with plenty of production to go along with it.

Koht has that elite twitch and bend all teams across all leagues covet. Great frame to add a few pounds and be an every down rusher.

I think two probably top 50 overall guys we have committed already. Foreman would be an unreal signee, but it’s not like OLine where the cupboard will be bare.

Clemson had been pretty good at putting in DL in the league the last 10 years. That probably means more to Foreman.

And playing in the CFP and Championship game basically every year for the last 5 years and with a great opportunity to do so the next 3 years with DJU, whose family his family is close with, probably factors into his decision making process.
