of that sport....

This is like war and some are playing a much larger game than the LSU staffs.

There are only about 12 teams to really recruit against in football and to effect their class is a goal.

Nick has baited LSU every year since at Alabama, knowing LSU one of his two main opponents in the West (Auburn being the other).

Nick first destroyed Auburn in state recruiting and then turned to LSU.

He has used players in the past to say they decommitted to Alabama and tell the LSU staff they are very interested in signing with LSU, only to sign with Alabama.

The other schools have since picked up on this tactic.

Clemson pulled what Bama has been doing for years.

Other Tactics of late have been to get players committed to one of the top 12 and have them stay committed to only have them sign with Bama on signing day.

The top 12 teams will have to use the same tactics to stay up with Bama, OSU and Clemson.

I fear coach O is out of the water on this side of recruiting.

Notice Miles started using this when he was head coach.

The 12
Bama
Clemson
Ohio St.
Auburn (falling fast)
Georgia
Florida
LSU
Notre Dame
Oklahoma
Florida State (has fallen on Hard time)
Penn State (fallen some what)
Oregon

and last one more

Texas until they get there act together they will be on the outside looking in, this schools power brokers make FSU look like Saintly U.

Those are the only school you need effect their recruiting. Saban will focus on Auburn, and LSU.

I did not include Miami of Florida, changing back to the GPA to get in there now makes it very hard for them to be a powerhouse.

USC is a dumpster fire.

Unless you’re in the room, I doubt you know if O does this or not already

I can summarize his condensed down point (and I agree wholeheartedly by the way):

Saban and now others us the PR power of a recruit to help recruit others.

He's us "press", I'd call it visibility, with the rise in media forums who cover recruiting to it's maximum effect by not only getting the recruit, but using such things as a late flip or announcements to enhance his and his school's brand therefore making recruiting easier in the future.

Bama had five Alabama signees in December, They recruit nationally for the most part taking six of seven Ala. kids. They haven’t destroyed Auburn’s in state recruiting. They may take the cream of the crop, but there are plenty left to sign.

If O would’ve done what he promised, he’d have more big time Olinemen. He promised to bring in the best coaches. Can you name 1 highly sought after coach on our team? He needs to quit fricking around and hire known Oline coaches that are proven to have developed and sent guys high in to the draft. At the end of the day, this is about money. Saban can point to multiple olinemen he has put in the NFL as 1st and 2nd round guys. Can we? Can O?

Burrow and Brady changed the way QB’s look at LSU. Now he needs to develop 1-2 stud olinemen that go high in the draft. The rest will take care of itself.

Some people are too slow to know this, Saban figured it out 25 years ago.

But he continues to have Top 10 recruiting classes. And won a national championship a year ago with our recruits.

My fear is there are more of you out there

Seeing as LSU is a perennial top 5 recruiting power and has the ability to challenge for the top overall class each year as well...I think you've got them way too low on that list of yours here.
